#25 Christmas Prize Challenge

Good Morning everyone hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus is a Christmas Prize Challenge. The challenge closes earlier than normal....21st December. The results will be posted 5th January. This post will also include Carol's Top Three for Challenge #24

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have made a selection of cards using CD Christmas Presence by Ooh La La. I am showing you two. I decided to go for a CAS. Got to keep it simple when you're making so many Christmas cards. There were several images on the printed off sheet which inspired me to make a selection using the same image. For the background I used shiny, sparkly paper which came on a roll, from the Christmas Decor section of a DIY store. The added silver sentiments were in a pack but not sure who the maker is....sorry.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. For the link to main challenge blog and to see what the rest of the Design Team have created go to link in sidebar.

If you are visiting and leaving a comment....Thank You...your comments are always read and appreciated.

I will take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Peaceful, Healthy 2020.

Enjoy Christmas!!!

Good afternoon or Morning if you are in Tasmania. A new month so a new challenge from Unstampabelles. This time we are looking for Star Struck Starry Nights or just stars!! Added Twist ....to use sparkly pens or glues.  Here is my inspiration for you.

This was a fun card to make. I used two pieces joined together of Adorable Scorable from Hunky Dorey for the background. Then scored it to make the zig zag effect. The image is also from Hunky Dorey. I added a silver peel off greeting and some silver snowflakes and additional sparkle on the stars. There are some stars already printed on the background card.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us at Unstampabelles. The only rule is NO STAMPS please digi or otherwise.

Have a great week and I look forward to visiting your blogs soon. If you visit me and leave a comment Thank You. Your comments are always read and appreciated.

#24 CD Sunday Plus

Good afternoon everyone. I am a bit late again posting our challenge at CD Sunday Plus. Thank you to everyone who entered the last challenge. It's going to be tricky choosing a Top Three from so many entries. It's Jocelyn's turn to host the challenge and again it's Anything Goes as long as you use something from a CD or USB or digi download.

Here is my inspiration for you.

It's another Christmas card. This time with a Victorian image from Joanne Sheen's CD 'A Victorian Christmas'. This was an easy card to make. I used a pre-scored scalloped white card and added the background paper from the CD. Then the image of the Victorian family stirring the pudding and no doubt making a wish. The greeting reads '....with love from all the family'. So this will be winging it's across the water to my 2nd cousin in Johnstone  City USA.

I hope you are finding time to make your Christmas cards. Mine are being made but very slowly. I am just not in the mood for Christmas yet!! And you've got to be in the mood to craft don't you?

Have a great week and I hope it keeps dry for you....wet days her every day grrrrr

Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment Thank You. They are always read and appreciated.

Welcome to another CD Sunday Plus 'Anything Goes' Challenge. I hosted the last challenge and boy did you make my choice of Top Three difficult. There were so many fabulous makes. To see if you were chosen for my Top Three pop over to CD Sunday Plus ((link in sidebar).

Here is my inspiration for you this time.

I have used a lovely CD by Debbie Moore. This was one of the CDs gifted by her to the design team. It's called 'Unicorn Dreams'

The background used was a pre-scored card with indented corners. The toppers and sentiment were all from the CD.

I hope you will join us at CD Sunday Plus. We have Joycelyn hosting this time. The rules have changed slightly, too not only include using CDS, but also Digi downloads or USBs.

Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment again Thank You. They are always read and appreciated.

Unstampabelles #95

Sorry I am late with this posting but I have been away for a few days to the wonderful Lake District and forgot to schedule!!

(can't take credit for the pic)
The Autumnal colours were amazing. Isn't Mother Nature wonderful.

Our November challenge at Unstampabelles is #95 'Paradise Pretties and Tropical Delights'. The twist is 'Into the Wild'

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have used an old image I had stored My Pictures. So I am not sure where it came from. If anyone recognises it please let me know so I give give credit.

I used white card stock for the basic card and added a pink matt.. My Grand daughter was moving to her first home with her partner and I know flamingoes are popular with the young so that inspired me to use it as a New Home card. I had a flamingo die which was a freebie in a magazine so I die cut the second one in a jolly pink. The sentiments were also in a pack I had for eons and the colours matched perfectly . I also printed off the matching insert but forgot to take a photograph of it. before I posted it. I don't know whether or not tehy are going 'Into the Wild' but starting a new life together so young seems like going into teh UNknown! Starting off on an intrepid adventure. I'm sure they'll have a wonderful life together and I wish them all the luck and love in the world!!

As usual there is a Craft Gift voucher as a prize so for more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar)

Thank you for visiting and if you have left a comment thank you also ....they are always read and appreciated.

#22 'Anything Goes' at CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning everyone. This time at CD Sunday Plus (link in sidebar) our inspirational cards have been created a little differently. Let me explain.

Earlier this year we were all very kindly sent some CDs to use from Debbi Moore and this time we have all made our  cards using these CDs. Thank you, it was such a generous gesture which the Design Team really appreciate.!

As usual it's 'Anything Goes' but it would be great if some of you were to use a Debbi Moore product in your work.

They have lots of  CDs, USBs and Downloads to choose from and some of the downloads are free. So why not pop over ad see if there's anything you fancy! This link will take you there. debbimoore

Here is my inspiration for you.

The CD I chose, from the selection kindly given to us, was the 'Art Deco Christmas Dreams'. The designer paper, image ribbon strip, sentiments and flower embellishments are all from the CD. I mounted them on a white scalloped edge card.

I do hope you'll join us this time and don't forget to pop over to the Debbi Moore website too (link above)  but don't blame me if you spend, spend spend!!

Have a crafty week and if you leave a commwent thank you. All comments are read and appreciated.

#20 'Anything Goes' with CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I am off to a Macmillan Coffee morning shortly in memory of a dear friend's husband who sadly loss his battle to Cancer earlier this year. This such a good cause, as Macmillan Nurses do a fantastic job with end of life care.

It's time for another challenge at CD Sunday Plus.

We have now changed our rulings to include not only CDs but also Digi downloads and downloads from USBs. As long as you tell us which source you used in your project.

Here is my inspiration for you.

Yes it's another Christmas card to add to the small pile !! I have used Joanne Sheen's 'Victorian Christmas Cards' CD for both the image and the background. The 'spotlight' images and greeting is also from the CD.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge and if you would like more inspiration pop over to CD Sunday Plus .....link in sidebar....and see what the rest of the design team have created.

#19 'Anything Goes' at CD Sunday Plus

Good afternoon crafters. Sorry I am late with this post.....life got in the way this week!
At Cd Sunday Plus we are now accepting entries for our challenges as CDs plus digital downloads or USBs. So plenty of choices for you now.

This fortnight my inspiration for you is a card I was commissioned to make for a guy who was 80 and loves Quiizzing, Theatre and Car Treasure Hunts! I bit of a challenge for me. So I went for a pop and twist card.

Some of my images came from Card Making Factory Deluxe and some were Googled images. The wording was also added using Card Making Factory Deluxe.

This is the front of the closed card.

This style of card gives you lots of scope to add bits and bobs to each matt.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us this fortnight. Thank you to all who entered last time. It was great to see so many of you joining us. I think the 'PLUS' is a great addition don't you?

Thank you for any comments left. They are always read and appreciated.

Have a crafty week!!

#93 at Unstampabelles. Theme 'Time for Recess'

Good afternoon if you are in the UK or Good Morning if you are in Tasmania, Australia or New Zealand!

A new month and time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles. The theme is 'Time for Recess', meaning Apertures! The optional TWIST is Luscious Layers.

Here is my inspiration for you.

This a box card. I used a template from a kit I had used earlier to make the frames. A die was used to cut out the aperture on the front layer with a diecut window trellis added. The back and front were joined with a concertina card piece.. The window sill/box was added to the bottom of the frame and flowers added. The window view was a photo of a tree in my garden. You can get these cards in kit form from Crafts U Print.

If you pop over to Unstampabelles you will what the rest of the team have created to inspire you. There is always a prize for our challenges donated by our lovely leader Susan. So what are you waiting for!

Have a great week!

#18 CD Sunday Plus 'Anything Goes'

Good Morning crafters. I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted!! We are starting our new challenge today at CD Sunday Plus. Last time it was a prize challenge so watch out to see who the lucky winner was.

As usual the theme is 'Anything Goes'. Here is my inspiration for you.

I used the Ooh la La CD 'Festive Funnies' for the image and background. The greeting is from Hunky Dory. I added blue ribbon matted on sparkly gold ribbon.

This is the matching  insert taken from the same CD.

I added my own verse to it using 'Word' then printed it onto the insert.

I have made a wee start with my Christmas cards but I know that I'll still be making them right up to the due date.

I hope you have a lovely crafty week and I look forward to visiting your blogs real soon./ If you leave a comment , thank you, they are all read and appreciated.

Have fun!

CD Sunday Plus #17 Summer Prize Challenge

Good Morning everyone. We have some exciting news for you today.

We are not only starting our next Challenge #17,. the theme being 'Summer Holidays', but also the Design Team have decided to move with the times.

In future we will be accepting digital downloads and USBs as well as CDs as your source material.

Therefore from now on, we will be known as CD Sunday Plus. As before we still need to know where your material came from.

The next challenge is a prize challenge #17 and the title is 'Summer Holidays'. Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a white card blank. The background , image and greeting are from an old Joanne Sheen CD 'Viva La Diva' ( I think this was a RAK from our lovely leader Carol....thank you C x). I used the CD Greeting Card Factory to generate the speech bubble and text.

I hope you have fun making your entries for our 'Summer Holidays' prize challenge theme. Remember it doesn't have to be a card it could be a scrapbook layout, a gift, a box, a tag, an altered book....anything crafty really. Just remember you can use digital, downloads and USBs now as well as CDs when making it. Tell us where you sourced it from and you are good to go for a mention in our Top Three spot.

#92 Unstampabelles 'Tea in the Garden'

A new month and a new challenge at Unstampabelles. We have a lovely theme for you this month 'Tea in the Garden'. So I am expecting to see lots of pretty flowers and tea cups. The optional; Twist is Water colouring. The prize for this challenge is a craft gift voucher valued at $15Aus

This is my inspiration for you.

I have chosen a lovely image from Hunky Dory. I thought this looked like a delicate water coloured image so that was my reasons for choosing it. Of course it fits the challenge theme too as it's  pretty tea cups with some delicate flowers and sweet birds and those yummy cup cakes of course. The delicate background card and greeting are also from Hunky Dory. I placed it all on a scalloped pre folded square card.

I hope you'll be tempted to join us this month. I look forward to visiting your blog and if if you have left me a comment..... thank you. All your comments are read and appreciated.

CD Sunday #16 Anything Goes using a CD.

Time for our next challenge at CD Sunday. I am hosting this time so lots of different cards please. You know I love an unusual fold. So I'll wait and see if I can give you an extra challenge!!

Here is my inspiration for you.Just a plain and simple landscape fold this time.

.
I started with plain orange card stock and added a border of cream lace. The background was some card stock I had in the scrap pile. Great to use up old stock isn't it. I then went to my Ooh La La CDs and found the perfect image on 'Yesterdays Memories'. The image is called 'Pretty in Orange'. I couldn't resist it especially after starting the card with orange card stock. I know you can't see much of it now since adding the lace and the background. The greeting is from a Joanne Sheen CD 'Holly Hill Pond'. It's on the sentiments sections and there's a facility for adding/changing the sentiments which is always a bonus.

I hope you'll join us this time. I look forward to visiting your blog and if you have left me a comment....Thank You. Your comments are always read and appreciated.

Have a great week.

CD Sunday #15

I am scheduling this post as I am in the Italian Lakes with friends. So hoping this posts OK.

Our next challenge at CD Sunday is 'Anything Goes using a CD'.and is hosted by Jane.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have made a New Home card for some friends who are moving nearer the coast with a lovely view of the sea from their garden. So I hope this image will be appropriate. The CD I have used is from Joanne Sheen and has some beautiful artwork on it by Janet Kruskamp. I have used the same image before for a Mothers Day card eons ago and I still had one image left.....tucked away in the bottom of a folder!! So lucky and pleased I get to use it. The designer paper is from the same CD and I used scraps of it to mount the peel off greeting 'NEW HOME'.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge. The only rule we have is that you use a CD to complete your creation and tell us which CD you have used.

Have a great week and I kook forward to reading any comments you leave me. Thank you.

Enjoy!

CD Sunday 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Where does the the time go?  I'm a bit late with this  new challenge at CD Sunday. The time has flown since our challenge two weeks ago. What have I done? Not a lot craft wise but very busy between my theatre work and doctors visits!! So at last I am posting my latest inspiration for you . As usual it's 'Anything Goes using a CD. So as long as you use a CD for something on your creation it's welcome. Oh yes and don't forget to tell us which CD it's from please.

The main card is from a pack from Hunky Dory. I think it was last years' Autumn range. The post card is Hunky Dory too. I die cut the feather in white card and added some amber gems to represent ink drops. Noe for teh CD element. I am always telling you it can be anything from a CD however small........ so here is mine. The greeting! It's from 'Holly Hill Pond' a CD by Joanne Sheen. It's my go to CD for greetings as you can easily adapt them to include any wording you wish.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us this fortnight. It's a fun challenge with the only rule being you use something from a CD however small/

Thank you for visiting and any comments you leave are always read and welcomed.

Have a crafty week!!

Playing with Stencils and Spraying!!

A new month and time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles. This time we are asking you to search out those stencils that have been hiding, unloved and forgotten about!! I must admit I was a bit stuck for this one as I had given all my stencils to my craft group when I left Cyprus. In fact the majority of my craft goodies were left in Cyprus. My thoughts being I would just buy new when I got to the UK as and when I needed anything.  Hence no stencils. But my design team came up with some amazing ideas to use instead. E.G die cuts, dies, old wooden letters, small plastic toys, lego pieces, those plastic alphabets we used many years ago when stenciling words.....remember those!! Anything really that you can place randomly on the page and spray over to leave the shape impression when removed.

Here is what I created after playing.

I had some pretty card which had random strokes of colour along the edge. I thought this would be ideal to use as my base. I then sorted through my dies to find a shape and came upon some hexagon stacking dies. I used two in different sizes and placed them in the centre  then sprayed some red paint over . I removed the dies and then placed them randomly further over and sprayed again. This was done until the whole of the blank area was covered to make a pretty background.

I finished the card with some die cuts and a silver ribbon.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. Theres always a gift voucher as a prize and don't forget ....NO STAMPS please. We are UNSTAMPabelles.

Thank you for visiting and if you kindly leave a comment Thank you again. They are always read and appreciated.

Have a great week crafting!!

# 13 CD Sunday

Time for another challenge at CD Sunday. It's Anything Goes ith a CD. So you have lots of choice as long as you use something from a CD when you make it.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I used a pre made square scalloped card as my base. I printed off the topper from a CD Crafters Companion 'Halcyon Days and Voila....simple. The only addition was the circular greeting which I also printed from the same CD.

I hope you'll see how easy card making can be when using CDs and join in our fun challenge.

If you are visiting leaving a comment ...thank you.....all comments are read and appreciated.

Have a great week.

CD Sunday Anything Goes

Time for our next challenge at CD Sunday. Once again it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use a CD somewhere in the making and tell us which CD you've used.

This is my inspiration for you this time..

I use A4 white card stock then added a black matt. I then die cut circles in a variety of sizes in black and white. These were layered to give a 3D effect and placed randomly across the card. I then printed off some toppers from a PollyAnna Pickering CD Farmyard Days. I used a scalloped die to cut out the images of the kittens and the cat and placed then onto the circles. I printed off the pretty 'Thank You' topper from a Joanne Sheen CD Hollyhill Pond. Finally I die cut the large 'Thank You' sentiment in black and added three black gems to the bottom

Please visit the CD Sunday and see what the rest of the team have created . You won't be disappointed.

If you visit and leave a comment...Thank You....your comments are always read and appreciated.

Have a great crafty week!!

All that Glitters at Unstampabelles

Well can you believe it's June and we are halfway through the year already!! We were promised sunshine this weekend but sadly not in the North East....a bit rainy and dull here. Think the rest of the UK are having sunshine tho so it's good for some .....enjoy! Down Under in Australia and Tasmania, where our lovely Unstampabelles leader Susan lives, Winter has begun. So wrap up warm and keep those Winter bugs away!!

So a new month then which means a new challenge at Unstampabelles. This time we are looking for a stained glass effect using diecuts and the added twist to use glitter or glitter card. This is my inspiration for you.

I started with white card stock embossing with a Jacobean pattered embossing folder. I then added a green mat at an angle. Taking some white card I die cut it using a flourish die. Then added liquid pearls around the swirls in a matching green. I placed green glitter card behind it to create the 'stained glass' effect. There are several techniques to create this look (check out YouTube videos) but I went for the simplistic version. I then layered it at an angle on top of the green mat using 3D pads to give it some depth. I diecut The Happy Birthday in the matching green card stock and placed it at the bottom left corner.

I hope you'll be tempted to join us at Unstampabelles. Remembering the only rule.....NO STAMPS PLEASE...either digi or otherwise.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

#11 'Anything Goes with a CD' at CD Sunday

Sorry I am late....again.... posting. The Bank Holiday weekend and youngest stepson flying up from Devon to visit together with an unexpected trip to A&E hasn't helped!!! So at last I have a spare minute to post.

I am hosting this times challenge at CD Sunday. As usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you have used a  CD somewhere when you make your card etc.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a piece of A4 white card stock folded in half. Then added a matt of background paper from a freebie pack in a magazine.....sorry not sure which one. Then I took a piece of A5 white catd and embossed it. I took another piece of background paper and folded it in a concertina fashion. I added this to the embossed card at the bottom and placed a strip of white embossed card at the top edge to cover the join. A strip of jewels were then added and a die cut flower for the centre . Two smaller die cut flowers were added to each corner with jewels added.
On the top half of the card I placed an image from a Katy Sue CD Fabulous Fashion and added a double mounted die cut greeting in two shades.

I hope you'll join us this time. Don't forget only one rule....use something from a CD however small and tell us which CD you've used. I look forward to visiting you soon. If you leave a comment ....thank you... They are always read and appreciated.

CD Sunday 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Good Morning Bloggers. I am a wee bit late with this posting....sorry. I have had a very busy for tthe last three weeks touring with a Theatre Group . We have been taking a performance of  'The Desert Queen' around North Yorkshire and the surrounding area. It is a play about the life of an awesome female Gertrude Bell. If you have't heard of her please make a Google search. You will be amazed as to what she achieved and has virtually been air brushed out of history!! I made an altered notebook as a keepsake .

I used a very apt CD 'Egyptian Adventures' by Joanne Sheen for the background and image. The stained glass window was a pic taken at  St Lawrences church in East Rounton Yorkshire where Gertrude Bell and her family lived. The picture depicts Mont Blanc in the background which Gertrude climbed and a her seated on a camel in the foreground.

I hope you will join us for this challenge. The only rule we have is that you use a CD in the making of your  card or anything else card related e.g altered books, gift tags, ATCs etc. and you tell us which CD you have used.

Have a great week and thank you if you visit and comment. All comments are read and greatly appreciated.

Unstampabelles

I hope everyone is enjoying the May Bank Holiday weekend and the weather is being kind to you. It's dry but very cold here in the North East of England.

Our new challenge this month at Unstampabelles is entitled 'To Have and To Hold'. The twist is to add a touch of Art Deco. There's a prize as usual of a craft Gift card.

When thinking Art Deco I always look out my trusty Debbie Moore CDs as she always has some lovely Art Deco images on them. The CD I used for my image was 'Victorian Weddings'

I began with a two pieces of white card stock and trimmed the edges with a Joanne Sheen die. I then adhered them together to make a 'tent shape'. I die cut a frame to go around the image.  The sentiments were also from the CD. I added blue gems to the top one. The blue rose , bottom corner, was also from the CD. I added a white ribbon bow and two heart pins in blue and white. I also added white flat backed pearls to the corners of the frame and at the edge of the lace cut top.

I hope you'll be inspired to join our challenges. The main rule is NO stamps please digi or otherwise.

I look forward to visiting your blogs. If you are visiting me and leave a comment, Thank You,. They are always read and appreciated.

Have Fun!

Happy Birthday CD Sunday!!!

Happy 9th Birthday CD Sunday

Yes it’s CD Sunday’s 9th birthday and we have a special Birthday challenge for you.

The #8 challenge for our 9th birthday is.....surprise, surprise......’Birthdays’ and using something from a CD somewhere on your creation. It doesn’t have to be a card it could be a gift box or a gift tag or a gift. Anything really as long as you use something from a CD when creating it. There are prizes on offer too. The team have been saving up for the winners to receive a gift voucher to spend in any craft shop of their choice. So a great prize for the winners and they will be chosen by the team.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have used ‘The Wrinklies’ CD by La Pashe. I had great fun creating this for my Grand daughter who has just started her degree course for Mental Health Nursing and she absolutely loves it. She’s been having great fun with the patients on her placements and she tells me she has saved lives too. As I said earlier.....she Loves it!!!! Lovely to hear her talking with such enthusiasm for such a worthwhile profession.

I hope you can join us this time as it’s such a special challenge for us. I look forward to visiting you soon to see all your creations. If you leave a comment.....thank you. They are always read and appreciated.

Enjoy and Good Luck!!!

CD Sunday ....Anything Goes with a CD

Good Morning to you all. I am scheduling this post as I am in Birmingham for the weekend at a Theatre Conference. Hopefully the weather is being kind but not sure whether I'll be able to appreciate it as these conferences tend to last for hours.

On to this fortnights challenge at CD Sunday. Last time Jocelyn hosted it and we had some really lovely entries . So she'll  be having fun deciding on her Top Three. This time it's our lovely leader Carol who is the host. Remember it's Anything Goes using a CD when you make anything craft related. It doesn't have to be a card.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I used Pollyanna Pickering's 'Farmyard Days' to create a calendar. It's made using a tag for each month. I adhered two months together so it wouldn't be too bulky. I fasten them together with silver ribbon. Ideally you can pop it into your handbag or purse instead of carrying a diary around with you. There is a small amount of space at the bottom of each tag to write on.  I am going to make a few of these for next Christmas and pop them in with the Christmas cards.

They could also be used as gift tags. Using the appropriate month you can tie the tag to the gift then circle the date and add the recipients name in the space at the bottom..

I hope I've tempted you to join us.

It's almost time for our birthday celebration at CD Sunday and Carol will be telling you about what we have in store for you soon. Lots of goodies.....but I'll say no more!! Watch this space !!!

Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to visiting you soon. Any comments you leave are always read and appreciated. Thank you and have fun!!

CD Sunday #6 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Good Morning bloggers. I hope you're having a lovely weekend. We are having a relatively quiet one here.except for baking for my son and his family who are moving house this weekend . So we are feeding the troops!!

It's time for a new challenge at CD Sunday, #6 'Anything Goes using a CD'.

Thank you for some fab entries last time. Margaret hosted it, so I'm sure she's scratching her head at the moment selecting her Top Three from such a great selection. Jocelyn is hosting #6 and as usual it's 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Here is my inspiration for you.

I used a lovely CD by Polly Anna Pickering ' Woodland Birds'. I have used this image before using it for a postcard only when I lived in Cyprus.. As there is more than one image on the printed sheet I had some left over. I added it to peach coloured card stock A4 folded landscape.. The 'Just a Note' die cut is from Joanne Sheen and the 'Feather' was a magazine freebie eons ago. I lightly smeared some yellow mustard ink over the feather. Punched out dots/small circles....waste from a single hole punch......were added to the top right and bottom left corner.

I hope you will join us for this challenge. Our main rule is that you use an element from a craft CD, however small, and tell us which CD you've used.

I look forward to visiting your blogs and if you visit me and leave a message....Thank You....your comments are always read and appreciated.

Have a great, crafty week and enjoy!

Unstampabelles

Wow!! The beginning of a new month for the challenge at UNstampabelles. Where is the year going?
We had lots and lots of fabulous entries to start 2019 off with a bang........42 at the last count. So a mammoth task ahead to choose winners.

This time we are asking that you create something for 'Men and Boys'. The optional  Twist is to add a peg or a staple to your creation.

Here is my inspiration fro you.

I have made a Birthday card for a young man who is Four years old. I used yellow card stoc for teh main card. The background was designer paper from a Making Cards magazine. The added elements to create the scene were also from the magazine. These were mounted on to card stock for strength. The Grandson tag was handmade with a peel off added. I had bought a box of tiny pegs with hearts and numbers on them eons ago. I added one to the top corner to complete the card.

I hope you'll join us. There is always a prize on offer too for the random choice winner. Don't forget NO STAMPS please we are UNstampabelles.

Have a lovely week and stay cool if you are 'Down Under'. Think those heatwaves are going to be very, very hot so stay safe!!

#5 at CD Sunday

Good Morning everyone . Can you believe it's March already. What a lovely month February was! The weather here this Winter has made me very pleased that I no longer live in Cyprus. They have had the wettest Winter on record and it's still raining, with the dams likely to overflow this weekend.

Over at CD Sunday it's time for a new challenge. The last challenge was hosted by yours truly. Thank you all for taking part. There were lots of delightful entries so I am going to have the lovely task of choosing my Top Three ready to posted next Sunday. This time Margaret is hosting the challenge and once again it's 'Anything Goes using a CD'.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a square card from a pack I bought at the Crafters Companion store in Newton Aycliffe when I visited it early last year. The yellow matt was embossed using a free embossing folder I got in a magazine....sorry not sure which one it was. The oval gold frame was a RAK sent from a crafting friend so I'm not sure which die was used.

The central image is from a Joanne Sheen CD 'Holly Hill Pond'....a fave of mine. It's such a cute image and I've used it many times before to make my Easter Cards. This one is for two lovely people in Cyprus. The little tag was from a Hunky Dory pack.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us at CD Sunday. Don't forget you must use a CD and tell us which one you've used. The element from the CD can be anything. large or small, e.g. the main image, background, tag, greeting etc. For those of you who don't have a blog we have a facebook page where you can upload your creations in the comments section.

So off you go and create anything, doesn't have to be a card, as long as you use a CD.

#4 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Good Morning. It's Sunday again and time for our next challenge at CD Sunday and it' my turn to host the challenge. As usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use a CD to help you to create your project. Meg was our host last time and she's some fab creations from which to choose her Top Three. I don't envy your task Meg! Thank you to everyone who joined in the challenge.

It's my turn to host the challenge this time and  my inspiration for you is a card I was commissioned to make for a lady in Cyprus. She was one of my customers when I lived there and she contacted me here in the UK to ask if I could make a special card for her Grandson who is crazy about Dinosaurs.

This what I created using the CD 'Greeting Card Factory Deluxe'

It's a 'Pop and Twist' card. If you search YouTube you can find lots of tutorials. I had great fun finding the Dinosaur images. This is the front of the closed card.

My brief was to find the some really scary ones!! Not sure if I quite did that but the customer was pleased so that's all you can ask for. The greeting and name were computor generated.

I hope you'll dust off those CDs and create something for this challenge. Remember it doesn't matter  which part of your creation you have used a CD for.......it could even be just the Greeting/Sentiment or a piece of background paper. A long as you have made use of a CD somewhere and you tell us which one you've used.

Thank you to all those who visit and comment. Your comments are always read and appreciated.

Have fun!!

#3 Anything Goes using a CD.

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are all keeping warm and have survived the snow. We didn't have any where I live so we were lucky. The US seem to be having it bad too. My crafting friends in sunny Australia tho are still enjoying their Summer!! Wish we were. What a crazy world!

It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday. We had some fab entries last time....thank you to those who joined us. This time the challenge is hosted by Meg and again the theme is Anything Goes using a CD.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I made this card for a friend who adores cats. This image reminded me of her cat. I'm sure she'll love it. If you look closely you can also see some kittens on the calendar in the background. I used a CD from Joanne Sheen with artwork by Janet Kruskamp for both the image, background paper and greeting.

I hope you will join us this time and don'r forget to use something from a CD in your project however small. If you don't have a blog you can enter via our facebook page.

Any comments you make are always read and appreciated.....thank you. If you aren't a follower of my blog and you want to be please click the follower link in the sidebar.

Have a lovely week and keep warm

It's February 2019 and time for.....

......our first challenge of the year at Unstampabelles. We hope you've enjoyed teh break and are raring to go with some new and exciting challenges. We have lots of new design team members too. So please visit them and give them some love. You will find more info about them on the main challenge blog page Unstampabelles.

This time Susan would like to see projects that are 'Simply Bright and Cheerful' and the optional Twist is 'Arty Creations appreciated'.

The prize is a $15 Aus. Gift Certificate.

Here is my interpretation of the challenge.

I used some patterned card stock from Hunky Dory which I cut and folded to create a tall thin DL card. I thought the image looked like a painted work of art and it's bright and cheerful. I added a die cut greeting 'Just a note' from Joanne Sheen. I have sent this to a friend to tell her of our 'change of address'.
(For those of you who are new to my blog. We have recently moved back to the UK after living for almost 20 years in Cyprus)
. The bought change of address cards are always so boring to my eyes. Hence why I made my own.I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Don't forget we are UNstampabelles so no stamps please when you are making your project. This can be anything from greetings cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, altered artwork i.e notebooks, boxes. The sky's the limit just don't use stamps....this includes digis.

I look forward to visiting your blogs and if you leave a comment....thank you... they are always read and appreciated.

Happy Crafting!!

#2 CD Sunday

Good Morning Crafters. Thank you all for your wonderful entries to our first challenge of 2019. Carol is going to have great fun choosing here fave.

We hope you will join us for  #2 Anything Goes using a CD.

(Unfortunately my main PC, with my pictures on, is  poorly and is at the Computor docs. As soon as it’s well again I will add the photograph of my project to help inspire you.)

And here it is.....

I use a CD from OOh La La artwork by Shawn Jenkins.. The Cd was used  for both the images and the background. I finished it off with three tiny pebbles from my stash. They were a perfect colour match. The greeting is a gold peel off.

My teamies have created some fab projects too so please pop over to CD Sunday and check them out.

We look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing what you have created. Don’t forget when adding your entry you must have used a CD in the making and tell us which CD you’ve used.

Have fun!!

Happy New Year

Good Morning and a Happy New Year to you.

I am starting my blog for 2019 with our first challenge of the year at CD Sunday.

A New Year means new beginnings and changes. At CD Sunday things are changing with our challenges. All challenges will be 'Anything Goes' and numbered. We have decided to use this theme throughout the year as it proved to be the most popular last year. There are other changes too. There will only be prizes awarded for special challenges throughout the year. However each challenge will have a different host and they will choose their Top Three as usual. Pop over to the challenge blog to read all about theses changes. (link in sidebar)

Our lovely leader Carol is hosting this first challenge of the year.

Here is my inspiration for you with #1 'Any thing Goes' for 2019.

It's one of the cards I made to send to a friend at Christmas. The CD I used was from Joanne Sheen 'Victorian Christmas' There are some lovely nostalgic images on this CD and well worth investing in.

Don't forget our challenges are now always 'Anything Goes' and you must use a CD when creating your project. It doesn't have to be a card it can be anything as long as you've used a CD to help you create it.

Please join in with us and if you haven't a Blog you can email us at cdsunday2@gmail.com or join in  on Facebook.

I hope you have had a wonderful festive season and are ready for the new challenges in 2019.

I look forward to visiting your blogs and thank you for any comments made which are much appreciated and always read.

Happy Crafting!
