Good Morning Bloggers. I am a wee bit late with this posting....sorry. I have had a very busy for tthe last three weeks touring with a Theatre Group . We have been taking a performance of 'The Desert Queen' around North Yorkshire and the surrounding area. It is a play about the life of an awesome female Gertrude Bell. If you have't heard of her please make a Google search. You will be amazed as to what she achieved and has virtually been air brushed out of history!! I made an altered notebook as a keepsake .
I used a very apt CD 'Egyptian Adventures' by Joanne Sheen for the background and image. The stained glass window was a pic taken at St Lawrences church in East Rounton Yorkshire where Gertrude Bell and her family lived. The picture depicts Mont Blanc in the background which Gertrude climbed and a her seated on a camel in the foreground.
I hope you will join us for this challenge. The only rule we have is that you use a CD in the making of your card or anything else card related e.g altered books, gift tags, ATCs etc. and you tell us which CD you have used.
Have a great week and thank you if you visit and comment. All comments are read and greatly appreciated.
lovely to read the story behind the play Wynn, and that your card is based on her achievements
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely keepsake of your time in the play. She sounds like a very interesting lady.

I thought I recognised the image Wynn. I have the same CD and some of the pictures are fabulous. I have been to Egypt and the images are very evocative. Great momento.
