'Christmas..... Old or New'

Good afternoon. Sorry I'm a tad late with my post for the new challenge at CD Sunday. Thank you everyone who entered Margaret's 'Blue and White'challenge last time. The winner will be announced next Sunday. The challenge this time is last for the year and has been chosen by Jocelyn. We start again January 6th.

Here's my inspiration for you this time.

I used a lovely CD for the background paper from Ooh La La with artwork by Paula Oakley. The topper, which I thought looked very 1920's, is from Hunky Dory. The greeting was in the same pack. I added a diecut gold holly spray to one corner and sprinkled some old star peel offs randomly on the background paper.

This card was so easy to make . So if you need a last minute card....as we always do...Simply get out a CD print off some background paper and add a suitable topper and greeting  to it and VOILA!

It just remains for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a peaceful, healthy 2019.

Keep Crafting!!!

Unstampabelles last challenge for 2018!!

Can you believe another year is almost over.....where do the days, weeks, months, years go!! This is our last challenge for 2018 at Unstampabelles. Of course it's something appropriate for this time of the year.

We would like you to show us a Christmas themed item related to your country. The optional Twist is to explain the theme in your blog. Don't forget the important rule.....no stamps allowed.....we are UNstampabelles!

As usual there is a prize on offer.

Here is my inspiration for you.

Carol singing around the tree in local villages.

Where I live in the UK there are many small villages with a beautiful Christmas at the heart of the village. Every year they have carol singing around the tree in each village, which is usually led by the local church choir. Ours happens this Tuesday evening and I am very much looking for ward to it. This will be my first Christmas back home in the UK so you can imagine the joy I'm feeling.

The card was created using only Hunky Dory products.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us and show us your Christmas traditions in your creations. I look forward very much to visiting your blogs and reading about your traditions.

Happy Crafting!

I have returned and a new challenge at CD Sunday

......Sorry for the delay in returning. Things took a little longer than anticipated to arrive etc. I am now living in the UK in a pretty little village in the North East of England. I am enjoying being surrounded by my lovely family but having to adjust to living indoors. In Cyprus much of your time is spent in the outdoors so life here is a little different.

On with our new challenge at CD Sunday. The theme is Blue and White and you must use a CD in the making.

Here is my inspiration for you.

As my supplies were limited and I had no CDs to hand when I moved my design team colleagues kindly helped out by supplying some background papers for me. The two CDs used were from Making Cards Magazine...Victorian Christmas and La Pashe Christmas story. Thank you Jane and Margaret.

I started with A4 card folded. Then matted and layered two background papers.  I hand drew on white card the 'snow drift' and cut it out. The trees were made using  off cuts from the same background papers. I drew the triangles for the trees on to card then added strips of the papers and cut them out. I slipped these behind the 'snow drift' which had been raised with 3D tape.

The greeting strip along the bottom is Hunky Dory and the strip of gems is from my small stash that I had.

So a quick and easy card made with a limited supply of materials. It can be done!!

Now it's your turn. Pop over to CD Sunday to see what the rest of the team have created and join us. We would love to see your creations.

Happy Crafting!!

'Fancy Frame or Border'

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles. This time we are looking for a Fancy Frame or Border. The twist is 'How Edgy!' As usual there's a yummy prize on offer courtesy of our lovely leader Susan.

Now who wouldn't like to win this amazing prize. It's a set of dies and an embossing folder plus a Craft Magazine!! Wow!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

You may remember I made a similar card a while ago when I was playing around for a multi media challenge with the Belles. I found a piece of left over card from then which I had inked and spritzed then didn't use. So I embossed it and made it the star of the show. A friend had lent me a selection of border dies so I played with these and framed the embossed card with cream. I added it to some leafy Green card stock from a Lidls pack. Then cut out the Happy Birthday sentiment die in the matching cream card. Finally I added some liquid pearl dots randomly over the embossed card and around the frame.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. For more inspiration go to the Unstampabelles challenge blog (link in sidebar) to see what the rest of the design have created. There are some very 'edgy' frames!

Don't forget this UNstampabelles, no so stamps please, including digis!. This is a challenge for anything crafty so it doesn't have to be a greeting card.

Have Fun!!

'Things to Eat' at CD Sunday

Good Morning to you all. Well I hope the promised heatwave  that's due to hit the UK has happened. A bit of sunshine always makes you feel good doesn't it!

Over at CD Sunday we are thinking of Food!!! Something yummy always makes you feel good too!!

The challenge this time as been chosen by Jane. Last time's challenge was to recycle with Carol's choice. We had some creative ideas. The winner will be up on the challenge blog next Sunday.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have made a gatefold easel card using the Joanne Sheen CD, artwork by Janet Krusckamp. The green background papers were in a pad from Lidls. It's a lovely Summery green which I thought blended well with the Summery image.

The cupcakes on the stopper are also from the same pack. They were on a sheet which I fussy cut  The greetings were computer generated.

I used designer paper from an OLL CD 'Everyday Occasions' to cover the outside. Then I added strips of green ribbon and silk leaves from my flower arranging stash. Tiny seed pearls were placed on top of each leaf. The main greeting is  a Google image and I added another cupcake to it.

I hope I've inspired you to join the challenge. There's always a great prize on offer from the design team for the winner. For more inspiration pop over to CD Sunday (link in sidebar)

Have a great crafty week!!

'Use Baker's Twine'

The challenge this time at Crafting with Dragonflies is to use Baker's Twine on your card. This is my inspiration for you.

I was asked to make a selection of cards for the craft magazine 'Quick Cards', using papers from the magazine. (I can't remember which issue number it was sorry) The cards were for Mothers Day and I created something very simple and quick to make  as it was for 'Quick Cards'. A simple matt of designer paper was placed on top of a white square card. Then two tags were added at the side. I put a co ordinating bow of Baker's Twine on the top greeting tag.  The corners of the square card were rounded with a corner punch.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies ( link in sidebar). This challenge is for cards only.

Enjoy!!

Flowers with Unstampabelles

We are midway through the challenge at Unstampabelles. The challenge is proving very popular and we've had some yummy entries so far.....who doesn't like flowers!! The twist is to Bling it up!

Here is my midway inspiration for you.

A card style I made a few weeks ago and I thought I'd use the style again. It's an upright Zcard which you can find on Youtube. Link here youtube

I started with  oblong white card stock and edged the narrow end with a fancy die. I covered it with lemon designer paper and folded it into a step card. The image was from a Hunky Dory pack of some pretty flower fairies which matched the designer paper perfectly. I added the image to card stock and left a gap in the top for the tag to slip down. I hand made the tag adding the sentiment from the same Hunky Dory pack. The yellow brad attaches the tag to the back of the card then it slots into the slit at the top of the main image. The card then folds flat for posting.

I hope you will join us at Unstampabelles.

This is the prize on offer from Susan.

Stamps and an embossing folder.

I look forward to visiting you soon. Have fun!

'Second Time Around - recycled'

Good Morning I hope you are having a lovely weekend. The weather is very hot here and I'm developing a Summer cold grrrrr!!! Not good!!!

Our challenge last time was 'Beautiful Blooms' chosen by Jocelyn. The winner entry will be on the blog next Sunday after Jocelyn has done the difficult job of choosing her winner. Not easy as we had we some beautiful entries. Don't forget if you don't have a blog you can still enter via facebook or email. There is always a crafty prize on offer donated by the design team.

This time the theme has been chosen by Carol. We would like to see anything that you have recycled but don't forget you must also have used a CD and tell us which one you've used.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I was in the mood for making a CAS card this time.....makes a change from my signature fancy folds!
I began with A4 white card stock for the base card. I embossed a piece of A5 card for the matting layer. The tag was printed off a Debbie Moore CD 'Shabby Chic....Vintage Rose'.

I used a piece from a pretty tissue box to cut the die cut spray.

                                                            This was my recycled bit.

I printed of the greeting  tag 'Lots of Love' from a Joanne Sheen CD 'Holly Hill Pond' This is my go to CD if I need a sentiment. There are a number of blank sentiment tags on this CD and you can change the font to any greeting you wish.....very useful. I found some matching string in my bits and pieces bag.....a bit of luck me thinks as it matches perfectly.

For more inspiration and ideas for recycling pop over to the CD Sunday challenge blog (link in sidebar)

Have a crafty week and I look forward to seeing what recycling ideas you come up with!!

 HAVE FUN!!

'Ribbon and Lace'

Good Morning. It's time for our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. This time Hilde has chosen the lovely theme of 'Ribbon and Lace'....always popular. This is my inspiration for you.

I have created a gatefold easel card using papers and images from Hunky Dory. You can find many instructions for making this on You Tube.

Outside closed gate fold

The buttons are from a pack I've had for eons....not sure where they were from. I placed a scrap piece of ribbon under the buttons which were secured with hi tack tape. The lace edging the stopper image again was a scrap piece in my stash. The pink gingham paper was from a crafty friend at my craft group.

This challenge runs for two weeks and is a cards only challenge for FUN!! For more inspiration pop over to the challenge blog (link in sidebar)

Have a great weekend!!

'Flowers, flowers and more flowers!'

Good evening crafters or Good Morning to you if you are in the Southern Hemisphere. Well I'm back from my travels and all is well ....except for Mr. Blogger who has been very naughty since I got back!! But I have found a way around the problems he has challenged me with and I am posting again!!!

Talking of challenges here is our June challenge at Unstampabelles. It's 'Flowers, flowers and more flowers'. The twist is to bling it up. Here is my inspiration for you.

It's a pop up box full of lovely blooms.

The inspiration for me for this challenge, at Unstampabelles, was my recent visit to the UK visiting family and friends I was overwhelmed with the flowers I received to welcome me home. (See pic of some on my last post) I also bought a craft magazine whilst I was there.....amongst other crafty goodies ;) and there was a pop up box kit in one. So to get my crafty fix on holiday I made it up.

                                                                           side view

                                                                    opposite side view

Beautiful Blooms.

I am very, very late with this posting sorry. Long story but involves holidays, forgetting to schedule and Blogger playing up!! Anyway all sorted now so here we go.

Our latest challenge at CD Sunday has been chosen by Jocelyn, 'Beautiful Bloom's.

Here is my inspiration for you.

For this card I have used the CD 'Carnival of Colour' from Ooh La La.

The design of the card is new to me and I'm not sure now what it's called....sorry. Might be an Upright Z-Fold Card. I found this link on Youtube youtube. Hope this helps.

I started with a piece of A4 card and folded it. Then folded the top back on itself....that's the dark pink card stock in the pic. I covered the back with designer paper from CD to match main image on front of the beautiful roses. The top was edged with a fancy border die.

Then came the tricky part. The main image was adhered to another piece of card and a small opening left in the top. The tag, with greeting, was then slipped into the opening and adhered to the top od the main card.

Therefore it slides in and out so that it's flat for posting. Clever eh!!

Talking of 'Beautiful Blooms'. When I was visiting family and friends in the UK. They brought me some beautiful flowers to welcome me home and to cheer up the apartment.

They certainly smelt wonderful and lasted for ages.

This challenges lasts for another week. To be in with a chance of winning a lovely prize from Jocelyn you must use a CD for your creation.....it can be anything crafty e.g. cards, scrapbook layout. boxes. notebooks. gift cards etc. Anything as long as you tell us which CD you have used. We have a facebook page now so even if you don't have a blog you can still enter via facebook.

Have fun!!

'The Colour Purple' with the Dragonflies

Good Morning. Another quick scheduled post from me. This time the challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is 'The Colour Purple'.

Here is my inspiration for you.

A piece of A4 card stock was folded landscape orientation with a matt created using paints on shiny water colour card stock. The paint was blended together with water sprays and a fan tail brush. When dry I embossed it. The purple mirri frame was die cut and placed around the matt. I then die cut flowers in purple mirri, pink and white. The greeting, Thank You, is die cut also from purple mirri card.

For more inspiration pop over to the main challenge blog (link in sidebar). This is a card only challenge...... for fun.

So.....Have Fun!!

CD Sunday 'Art Deco'

Good Morning. I hope you are all having a relaxing weekend.

Our challenge at CD Sunday this time is Art Deco. A lovely glamorous theme chosen by Margaret.  I loved all your entries from the last challenge and the winner will be posted next Sunday.

I have used a CD by Debbie Moore Art Deco 'Decadent Moments'

The card was a commissioned card for a glamorous lady. The white card stock was covered with designer paper and the image printed off from the CD. I placed it on a matt of cerise pink mirri card. The sentiment was die cut from the same mirri card. The name tag was some pink peel offs I'd had for eons and they matched perfectly.

I hope you'll be joining us for this challenge. For more inspiration please pop over top CD Sunday (link in sidebar)

Don't forget there's always a great prize on offer. As this is a CD challenge blog you must use something from a CD, however small, and tell us which CD you used.

I made this as a commissioned card for someone who loves CAKE!! The main card is made using Hunkydory's adorable scoreable card.  It was an insert but I decided to use it as a card front as it fitted perfectly with the commission.

The large cake was a googled image as was the sentiment. Peel off letters were used for the recipient's name and Happy Birthday.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us for our challenge. As this is our birthday celebration challenge we have been kindly sponsored by lots of generous people. You will find a list of our sponsors and what you can win on the Crafting with Dragonflies challenge blog (link in sidebar)

The challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is for a Twisted Easel card.

Here is my inspiration for you. This is made using some new stash from Hunky Dory. It's part of their Easter Range.

I hope you enjoy this challenge. Don't forget it's a card only challenge and for fun only!! Link in sidebar to challenge blog.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

Using the CD by  Debbie Moore 'Elegant Moments'

I started with white card stock folded landscape orientation. Then covered it with designer paper from the CD. I die cut a scalloped frame for the image . This was added to the border strips which you can also find on the CD. To the corner I added some embellishments from the CD and finally the sentiment to the other border strip.

I hope you'll be tempted to join us. As usual there's a yummy prize on offer. Pop over to the main challenge blog for more inspiration. Don't forget to use something from a CD, however small, and tell us which CD you've used.

Dragonflies 'Dies and Punches'

Good Morning. Another quick scheduled post from me.

It's time for another challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. This time we like you to use dies or/and punches for your creation.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with embossed white card stock. The corners are die cut, as are the hearts ....bottom right....The trellis arch and larger heart are also die cuts. Also the greeting 'Congratulations'. The card was finished off with gems and a ribbon bow. The photograph peeping through the trellis window is of the happy couple.

For more inspiration please pop over to Crafting with Dragonflies (link in sidebar)
Remember this is a cards only challenge for fun.

Have a lovely weekend and take care.

CD Sunday 'No Patterened Papers'

Good Morning crafters. I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend. Happy Easter to you all.

I have scheduled this post so not sure what the weather will be like but if you're in the UK I hope there's some sunshine as I'm visiting there at the moment. Catching up with friends and family !!

At CD Sunday this fortnight our challenge is for you to make something that does not make use of patterned papers. It has been chosen by Meg. Ooohhh a bit of a challenge eh! But go on I know you can do it.

Here is my inspiration for you. (Appropriately for this time of the year I have made my challenge card as an Easter card.)

CD Joanne Sheen ' Hollyhill Pond'

I have used a new fold...to me. It's quite simply card stock folded tent style with the bottom corners folded back then covered with a matt to hide the join!! I covered the inside with paper from a Lidl's pad. I used a border embossing folder for the top strip and a damask folder for the 'triangle' matt. The tag was an image from the CD 'Holly Hill Pond' from Joanne Sheen. I die cut card with a scalloped oval die then added the image. Then I added some ribbon to the top so the tag can be removed easily. This is where I'll put my hand written message. The Easter egg baskets were snippets from the decoupage sheet on this CD. The sentiment tag is also on this CD and as there is a facility to add your own text I was able to add my own greeting.

A view showing how the card stands up.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us for this challenge. For more inspiration pop over to the main challenge blog (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of he team have made. Last time's challenge winner for 'Rabbit Rabbit' will be announced next Sunday.

Don't forget there's always a great prize on offer and the main rule is that you must use something from a CD and tell us what it is.

Have fun!!

'Unstampabelles' new challenge for April.

Happy Easter to you all. I hope you are enjoying your Easter festivities with your family and friends.

A new month and a new challenge from Unstampabelles. This time we would like to see your creations using vellum or acetate. The twist is to create a new view to look at.

This is my inspiration for you.

I have made a Wedding card for two people who will be looking at life from a new perspective now that they are beginning a new life together.

The main A4 card was embossed with my favourite A4 embossing folder in the Jacobean design. The main image is a cut and emboss die which is new and recently purchased in the UK by one of our crafters for the group to use. I added acetate to the open aperture which I embossed with a raindrops embossing folder. I then placed a silver matt of mirri card behind the acetate. The bride and groom were die cut and adhered to the acetate. The greeting was computer generated and double mounted on silver mirri card.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. Don't forget there is always a yummy prize on offer kibndly donated by our lovely leader Susan. Click the link in the sidebar for Unstampabelles to see what it is and to also see the creations the rest of the design team have made. Remember also NO STAMPS please as this is a challenge from UNSTAMPabelles!!

Crafting wih Dragonflies 'Criss Cross card with tag'

Good Morning and a quick scheduled post from me as I'm off visiting friends and family in the UK.

Our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is a 'Criss Cross card with tag'. Some crafters, like myself, call these envelope cards. So what ever you call them, we would like to see your version of them.

Here is my inspiration for you, made with a card kit.....not sure who the artist is....if you know let me know and I'll give credit.

The Youtube channel has many video tutorials for Criss Cross or Envelope cards if you want to see how easy they are to make., Their instructions will be much clearer than mine. Everything for this card I got in the kit so even easier to make. I just added some pink ribbon to the tag and Et Voila!!

I hope you'll join us for our fun challenge. Don't forget it's cards only. For more inspiration pop over to Crafting with Dragonflies and see what the rest of the team have created (link in sidebar)

Have fun!!

Midway at 'Unstampabelles'

Good Evening everyone. We are halfway through our challenge at Unstampabelles. This month we are asking you to decorate something wooden and the Twist is 'Get messy with paint'

There are lots of wooden things you might like to paint or some may be in need of some TLC. You could use wooden embellishments or simply a twig or branch from the garden of hedgerow. What about a wooden spoon, spatula, picture frame? Any of these would be suitable.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I used some wooden letters that I had a box of from eons ago. The person the card was for is a dolls house maker so I thought something made from wood was appropriate. The messy paint bit came when I added gold paint to them. The paint just sunk into the wood and even after several coats still looked a drab yucky colour!!.....dull gold I suppose. I added a matt of embossed old gold to the front cover ands a 'belly band' and 'Happy Birthday' of mirri gold.

This is a pop and twist card.

                                                                                   Inside

You can get a die to cut the pop and twist cards but I just use my own measurements and design......quite easy really once you've done a few ....as I have!! Lots of tutorials on Youtube if you want to have a go!! Great fun!!

Please pop over to Unstampabelles for more inspiration. ( Link in sidebar)

There's always a yummy prize on offer for this challenge and don't forget NO STAMPS please including digis. We are UNSTAMPabelles!

Have fun!!

Cd Sunday 'Rabbit Rabbit'

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are tucked up warm indoors and the snow has finally disappeared if you are living in the Northern Hemisphere. I know you are coming into Autumn days Down Under so it may cooling down there too.

It's time for s new challenge at CD Sunday. Jane chose 'In the Wild' for our theme last time . We had some lovely entries and her Top Three will be on the CD Sunday blog next Sunday. This time it's Pamela's turn and she has chosen 'Rabbit Rabbit'. This shouldn't be too difficult for you with Spring around the corner and those Easter bunnies arriving soon!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have chosen the CD from the Bebunni Love Collection by Crafters Companion.

I started with white card stock and embossed a white matt  with a lovely Jacaobean design folder. Then I die cut  some edging and made a frame. I also used this framing around the image. I added some die cut hearts to the corners of the image and scattered some across the bottom of the card. The greeting was in my stash....not sure where it was from but it may be from a CUP design.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. Don't forget there's always a prize on offer donated by the design team . Please remember this is a CD challenge so you need to use something from a CD and tell us which CD you have used. Also it doesn't have to be a card it could be anything as long as it follows the challenge theme and you use a CD. I'm thinking Easter baskets or bonnets would be fun this time!!

So get your thinking caps on and join in our challenge. Go on you know you can do it!!
Have Fun!!

'Easter' with the Dragonflies.

Our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is very appropriate for this time of the year so we are expecting lots of lovely entries. Yes it's 'Easter'!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a yellow DL card blank that I'd had in my stash for eons. I added a matt of green then hung a wooden plaque from the top with some green and yellow ribbon. The plaque is held in place at the top only so it swings freely and can be removed with ease. So it can double up as a gift. I added a wooden butterfly on to the knot of the bow. Finally I added the greeting, which was printed from a Joanne Sheen CD.

I hope you'll be tempted to join us and I look forward to seeing your yummy Easter cards. Don't forget this is a fun challenge for cards only.

Have fun!!

Unstampabelles

An new month and a new challenge from Unstampabelles. This time Susan would like you to use something wooden with the added twist of  getting messy with paints.

Here is my inspiration for you.

This small wooden box was painted with a coating of plum coloured paint and then a top layer of cream paint. I then sanded it to create a 'shabby chic' effect. I then added the 'Lavender' images using decoupage papers. They were allied with varnish then when dry I sanded them to create a worn look.

The same method was used on the inside of the box.

I hope you'll be tempted to join us for this challenge. As always there's a great prize on offer. This time it's embossing folders and some yummy lace donated by our lovely team member Dale. Thank you Dale x

Have Fun!!!

'In The Wild'

Good Morning everyone.. I hope you are managing to cope with the snowstorms in the UK. It's an ideal time to stay in the warmth and craft! It'll stop you from going stir crazy if you can't get out of your front door!!

The new challenge at CD Sunday is 'In the Wild' chosen by Jane. You can certainly let your imagination 'run wild' with this one....sorry couldn't resist the pun!!

Carol's winner for the last challenge. 'Up Up and Away' will be on the CD Sunday challenge blog next week. (link in sidebar)

Here is my inspiration for you this time.

I used a CD from Creative Crafting World. The artwork is by Pollyanna Pickering. It's the Woodland Birds Sketchbook Collection Chapter IV. I chose to use the post card section for my make this time. I plan to make a set of these and put them in a box as a gift....watch this space!!

As always the rule for our challenge is to use a CD and tell us which one you've used.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us this fortnight for another great challenge.

Don't forget there's always a prize on offer from our design team.

Have fun!!

Crafting with Dragonflies

Good Morning crafters. Today we have a new challenge for you at Crafting with Dragonflies. Hilde has chosen the theme of 'Birds'. We had some very interesting folds from you all for our last challenge. I really enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing what you had created. I do love a different fold!!

Here is my inspiration for you his time.

This was made using a new fold for me. It's a top folded card with the two bottom front corners turned back to create a pocket. I covered it with some new papers from Hunky Dory and created the 'bird' tag with an image I had in my stash.....sorry not sure who designed this but it is lovely. I embossed some white card stock and placed it over the seam on the front of the pocket.

More pics.

Have fun.

Midway at 'Unstampabelles'

We have started off our 2018 challenges with the ever popular 'Anything Goes' and we are midway through the month of February already!!

The TWIST this time is to use something new from your stash  that you got over the Christmas break
which you can have purchased yourself or been given it. Don't forget this is UNstampabelles so NO STAMPS please.

Here is my midway inspiration for you.

The card was made with white card stock embossed with a large A2 dotty folder. The central image was from a new CD 'Bebunni Love Collection' by Crafters Companion. The LOVE strip across the bottom was from a new paper pad from Lidls. I used a border die cut to edge the image and added two die cut hearts to the top corners. To finish I scattered tiny die cuts across the image.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us this month. As usual there is a lovely prize on offer donated by Susan.

This time it's a very useful leaf spray die.

Have a great week and I look forward to visiting your blog soon.

'Up, Up and Away! '

Good Morning everyone. Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Our latest challenge 'Up, Up and Away! ' has been chosen by our leader Carol.  The challenge last time, chosen by Jocelyn was, ' Vintage Love ', so it was a great opportunity for you to create some Vintage Valentines. We had some interesting designs too. Thank you to those who took part. Don't forget if you don't have a blog you can still enter via our face book page. The winner of ' Vintage Love' will be up on the blog next week. As we've decided not to make you wait so long to see who's won. Just a reminder too that there's always a lovely prize on offer for the winner, donated by the design team .
Enough of my waffle and on to my inspiration for you this time.

The CD I've used for the background is one of  Debbie Moore's , ' Elegant Moments '. It from the insert section and I felt it would make the perfect background for my hot air balloon. I loved the fact it had sailing boats on it too to add extra interest to the scene. The balloon is a die cut using multi-coloured card. The sentiment was 'googled'. So a simple CAS card from me this time. It makes a change from my love of different folds!!

As always the rules of the challenge are simple....use a CD somewhere on your creation and tell us which one you've used.....You can make anything you wish, so it doesn't have to be a card, it could be ATCs, altered books, scrapbook page etc. etc. Anything really as long as you've used a CD somewhere on your project. For more inspiration pop over to CD Sunday (link in sidebar) to see what the rest of the team have created.

Thank you for visiting and if you've left a comment double thanks as they are always appreciated.

Have a good week and I look forward to visiting you soon.

'Special Folds'

Good morning crafters. Our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is my all time favourite 'Special Folds'. Those who follow my blog know that I love a challenge of a new fold. So this theme is perfect for me!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

It's a step card with a difference. As you can see I have made it into a baby's 'room' with chest of drawers and wardrobe. The idea came from one of my craft group, Christine. She always has some clever ideas. When she showed us this creation I thought it would be perfect for this theme.

I made the basic step card from white card stock and added panels of blue checked card on to the wardrobe doors and drawers. The central panel was covered in the same designer paper. The bottom edge of the main step card was cut with a die to give the shape of the 'feet'

Then came the fun part of adding the embellishments. The 'Baby' element is from an Ooh La La CD, 'Everyday Occasions'. The birth weight chart is from Kay and Co.

The little wooden 'baby' was bought locally and the bootees were knitted by an online crafter and given to me as a RAK, thank you Angie. 'Congratulations' is a die cut as is the baby vest.

I hope you have as much fun as I did trying out 'Special Folds' for this challenge. I am excited to see what folds you use to create your cards. Remember this is a fun challenge for cards only.
Have a great week crafting!!
