CD Sunday 'No Patterened Papers'

Good Morning crafters. I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend. Happy Easter to you all.

I have scheduled this post so not sure what the weather will be like but if you're in the UK I hope there's some sunshine as I'm visiting there at the moment. Catching up with friends and family !!

At CD Sunday this fortnight our challenge is for you to make something that does not make use of patterned papers. It has been chosen by Meg. Ooohhh a bit of a challenge eh! But go on I know you can do it.

Here is my inspiration for you. (Appropriately for this time of the year I have made my challenge card as an Easter card.)

CD Joanne Sheen ' Hollyhill Pond'

I have used a new fold...to me. It's quite simply card stock folded tent style with the bottom corners folded back then covered with a matt to hide the join!! I covered the inside with paper from a Lidl's pad. I used a border embossing folder for the top strip and a damask folder for the 'triangle' matt. The tag was an image from the CD 'Holly Hill Pond' from Joanne Sheen. I die cut card with a scalloped oval die then added the image. Then I added some ribbon to the top so the tag can be removed easily. This is where I'll put my hand written message. The Easter egg baskets were snippets from the decoupage sheet on this CD. The sentiment tag is also on this CD and as there is a facility to add your own text I was able to add my own greeting.

A view showing how the card stands up.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us for this challenge. For more inspiration pop over to the main challenge blog (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of he team have made. Last time's challenge winner for 'Rabbit Rabbit' will be announced next Sunday.

Don't forget there's always a great prize on offer and the main rule is that you must use something from a CD and tell us what it is.

Have fun!!

  5. This is a great shaped card Wynne, I've not seen this fold before. You've used an adorable cd rom for your card and I love the bright colours and embossed detail.
