CD Sunday Plus #49

A new challenge for you all at CD Sunday Plus. I'm a bit late posting this but as it's my birthday I think I'll be forgiven!!

As usual it's Anything Goes as long as you use something from a CD , USB or digi download.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have used the CD 'Say it with Words' from Ooh La La. The background paper is also from the CD. I had some dotty ribbon in my stash and thought I'd make a fancy bow to add a bit of interest. I love the quote. It says:

'Without the rain

There wouldn't be rainbows'

This is very appropriate for the World at the moment.

I hope you will join our challenge this time and I look forward to seeing all your wonderful projects. If you visit and leave a comment, Thank You, Your comments are always read and appreciated.

Unstampabelles #106

A new month already and therefore it's time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles.

The theme remains positive and we would like you to 'Believe' . This can be a person or a myth or fairy tale. the optional twist is to use an unusual fold. There is always a prize of a craft gift voucher for the random winner  and a top choice by the design team.

Here is my inspiration for you.

When asked by my children, ' Mummy, Do you believe in Santa Claus' My reply was/ is always 'Yes' Why? Because if you don't believe you won't get any presents!! This has always been my mantra!! And who doesn't love presents and the magic of Christmas. So 'Yes. I believe in Santa Claus'.

My unusual fold is a LONG card with a scalloped bottom. I don't make many of this size as I never have an envelope to fit. It was the same this time. So I had to make my own matching envelope.

I hope you'll be inspired to join our challenge. I look forward to visiting your craft blogs and reading about what you 'Believe' in.

Have  a crafty month and stay safe out there in this scary world!!

#48 CD Sunday Plus

Time for a new challenge at CD Sunday Plus.

I hope you are all staying sane during these 'challenging' times!!

Our challenge as usual is Anything Goes as long as you use, however small, something from either a CD, USB or digi download to support your project. Please remember, as fabulous as they are, no digi layouts only physical projects will be considered for our Top Three choices. This time our lovely leader Carol will be hosting and choosing the Top Three.

Here is my inspiration for you.

The card is A4 portrait orientation and the background and tag are from Hunky Dory. I used a lovely CD by Debbie Moore 'Art Deco Christmas Dreams' for the sentiment. It has a beautiful frame around it. This one will be winging it's way to my second cousin, Richette, in America. Richette. She treasures my handmade cards.

Although a wee bit younger than me she is my Mum's cousin. Her Uncle emigrated to USA in the late 1800's and met his bride to be there, a lovely French lady, who's family had also emigrated at that time. I knew of them through family stories but noone had been in touch with them ever. I discovered them through Genes Reunited and the rest shall I say is history.

Hope you are surviving lockdown again. Hopefully by Christmas things should be looking better.

Remember 'HANDS, FACE, SPACE' will save lives.

Have a crafty week everyone xx

#105 Unstampabelles

Good Evening or Good Morning everyone wherever you may be. Another month gone so it's time for our next challenge at Unstampabelles. Where has this year gone!! I for one will be glad when it's over as I've not been out of my house since March except for sitting in the garden. Hey Ho! Life eh!!

On to the next challenge. This time we would like you to think of the word INSPIRE!  In particular who or what inspired to get into the world of Paper Crafting. The Twist this time is to use the word Inspire on a Thank You card or Tag.

Here is my Inspiration for you.

My 'Thank You' tag is simply made using white card stock shaped with a corner punch. I covered it with paper from my stash. The 'Thank You' die is from Joanne Sheen added to a piece of red card stock. I googled the word Inspire and came up with this image with I snipped and mounted on to white card. Finally I punched a hole in the top and threading red string from my Christmas ribbon stash box.

When I started Paper Crafting with a passion I had no idea of the journey it would lead me on. I was first inspired by the technique of Pergamano. The delicate imagery that is created with this technique really appealed to me. As Paper Crafting began to take over my life I began wanting my creations to be completed more quickly. I found that Pergamano was time taking , beautiful but it needed time. So I expanded my techniques and knowledge to take on more Paper Crafting styles. I still have all my Pergamano tools and maybe one day I will go back to it. Who knows where our next path will lead us.

I hope you will enjoy taking part in this challenge. There is always a prize for the random drawn winner . Don't forget our one rule 'No Stamps please' We are UNSTAMPabelles.

Take care out there in this crazy world.

Wash Your Hands, Wear a Mask and Keep your Distance!!! Then we will all stay safe.

Enjoy crafting !

CD Sunday Plus #45

Good Morning everyone. It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus. It's 'Anything Goes' as long you use either a CD, USB or digi download when making your project. Also don't forget to tell us your source.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I used a square, scalloped. pre scored card as my base. The background and image are from the fabulous CD by Ooh La La 'Say it with words'.

The Quotation:

"Perhaps STRENGTH doesn't lie in never having been broken....

.....but in the courage to grow STRONG in the broken places."

It's my turn to host this challenge and I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your creations.

Have a lovely week and stay safe!!

#44 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning Crafters. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well in these crazy times. WE are still merrily crafting away at CD Sunday Plus and the challenge as usual is 'Anything Goes'. The rule is that you use something from a CD, USB or download when creating your project.

Here is  my inspiration for you.

I used a white pre folded scalloped card as my base. The CD used is from Debbie Moore 'Art Deco Christmas Dreams' I have also used some adorable scorable card from Hunkydory.

I have added some mustard Hunkydory card in strips on top of the background poinsettia paper to add interest. I then placed a poinsettia centrally and an oblong poinsettia spray in the top left corner. Then I placed the sentiment bottom right. I finally added gold gems to the central image and mustard strips.

Jo is our hostess with the mostess for this challenge and I'm sure she is looking forward to visiting you soon to see what you've been inspired to make. Don't forget it doesn't have to be a card . It could be a plaque, ATC, Journal page, scrap book layout etc etc. As long as you follow the rules. For more inspiration pop over the main blog at CD Sunday Plus ( link in sidebar).

Have a great week crafting and if you leave a comment Thank You. All comments are read and appreciated.

#104 Unstampabelles

Are you ready for another challenge at Unstampabelles/ It's a new month so a new challenge for you.

Our challenge title is Phoenix (rising from the ashes)

This could be salvaging a craft disaster, getting a career after a slow start, recovering from an illness i.e Breast Cancer or even celebrating a Divorce. So let your imagination run wild with this one. The optional twist is to use an embossing folder

Here is my inspiration for you.

This a an A4 card with background paper from Hunky Dory. The sentiment/verse is one I have in my stash and sadly I have used it several times to send to girl friends who have been  fighting this nasty disease!

I added the pink ribbon to create a hanger for the plaque verse. This could be removed from the card quite easily.

This is just one idea. For more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) to see ideas from the Design Team. Remember NO STAMPS please as we are UNSTAMPabelles.

Have a great time creating and I look forward to visiting your blogs real soon. Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment , Thank You, they are all read and appreciated.

#43 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning crafters. It's time for our latest challenge at CD Sunday Plus. As usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or digi download and tell us your source. It doesn't have to be the main focus of your make, which means it could be the background, tag or sentiment etc.

Here is my inspiration for you.

( This is looking a bit too blue as the light wasn't good when I took the photo.)

I started with A4 card stock and folded it portrait. Then I was having a browse through my Hunky Dory insert papers and found this lovely delicate image of an Owl in Winter. I thought it would make a lovely Christmas card. I've not used the inserts before as the main image but I think it worked.

The tag/sentiment  is from an Ooh La La CD 'Xmas Presence'. I added silver ribbon and a star gem to the tag. Et Voila!!

For more inspiration pop over to the CD Sunday Plus Home page to see what the rest of the team have created. (link in side bar) Remember it doesn't have to be a card it could be anything paper craft related.

Have a good week and take care out there!!

#42 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning crafters. It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus. This time it's hosted by our lovely Jocelyn and as usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or digi download anywhere on your creation.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a white card blank and added a scalloped matt of blue. Then printed a background from a CD by Ooh La 'Christmas Presence'. I have started making my Christmas cards during lockdown and I found this lovely Nativity scene in my Hunky Dory stash.

It's from there decoupage range. It's been an age since I did any decoupage so this turned into a real treat for me and got my mojo going any. Think it's been in lockdown too!!

I printed off the tag from the same CD and added some silver ribbon which had the silver angels wings and stars attached. It was a roll I had in my stash from Lidls.

I hope I've inspired. Maybe you've started Christmas early too like me!!

Check out the rest of the Design Teams creations at CD Sunday Plus for more inspiration.( link in sidebar)

I hope you're enjoying a relaxing Sunday. Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment an extra thank you. All your comments are read and appreciated.

Enjoy your crafting!!!

Unstampabelles

Good Evening everyone to all in the UK and Good Morning to Tasmania. Our new challenge at Unstampabelles begins today and this time it's 'Good News'. The optional twist is to make your own background. As usual there is a gift voucher prize for the winner.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I began with A4 white card stock and folded it landscape orientation. I used a corner punch to round the corners.

I then created the background using embossed card and corner die cuts. I then added gem stones.

I used a template to cut two large hearts.....one blue and one white. (This was a commissioned card and the customer asked for it to include blue, hence my colour palette.) Then I die cut the Love heart and smaller blue heart. The sparkly number 60 was then added to the blue heart.

I generated the two Greetings using the CD Card Making Factory DeLuxe.

I hope you'll be joining us this month. Please click on the link Unstampabelles in the sidebar to see what the rest of the team have created.

Take care out there!!!!

Happy Crafting!

CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning everyone. Well it's great to back with you all again. I've been having P.C. problems . So I have not been able to access my blog.

It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus and as usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or Download in your creation. It could be a card, altered book, boxes, ATC, scrap book  anything as long as you use something, however small, from the aforementioned.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I began with a scalloped square card. The background and image are from Hunky Dory. The CD element is the Greeting which is from a lovely CD by Joanne Sheen 'Holly Hill Pond'. This is a great go to CD and I use it quite often.

I hope you can join us and I look forward to visiting your blogs soon.

Take care out there.

Happy Crafting!!

#35 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning everyone. It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus. I am hosting this time and I'm looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. As usual it's Anything Goes as long as you use something from a CD, USB or Download in your creation. It could be a card, altered book, boxes, ATC, scrap book  anything as long as you use something, however small, from the aforementioned.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with A4 white card stock and folded landscape orientation. I added some checkered background paper from my stash. The framing was something I found in my box of die cuts from eons ago. I am not sure which dies they are from. I cut both diagonally and placed one in each corner. The image is from Crafts You Print  with Artwork by Tracey Hutchins. The tags were included so I cut them out and placed at the bottom right corner. The blank one will be used to add a name later when I decide who it's going to.

I hope you be inspired to join us. Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment thank you.....all comments are raed and appreciated.

Stay safe everyone and don't forget if you do venture outside to stay a safe distance from others. Take care.

Have a crafty week!!

HAPPY EASTER

Good Morning and Happy Easter to you all on this strange Easter Morning!! I hope you are all well and remember to social distance. This is not easy I know especially when it's a Bank Holiday but its got to be done to stay safe. 'Strange but True' as the Bard , our friend Will Shakespeare, once said!

Here is my inspiration for you.

This pretty Easter card, which sadly didn't get posted, was created using an image from Crafts You Print. The Designer is Di Simpson. The pale green background was from my stash. I created and printed the greeting from the CD Greeting Card factory Deluxe. I will put this card safely away and hopefully I will be able to send it next year.

#99 Unstampabelles

Good Day!! Well I hope you are managing to stay sane during this time of uncertainty in the world!!! I have been very busy in my craft room trying to get ahead of the Christmas rush !!

Our April challenge at Unstampabelles is all about creativity.....something we crafters thrive on!!
The challenge is called 'Creative Souls and Being Creative'  So its all about Art....creating it, looking atit, admiring it etc etc.
The optional twist is ....To mane a creative person you admire and CAS a piece of their work, without using stamps of course!

I have long been an admirer of the Art Dec o Movement. So with this in mind I set about creating a piece for you.

The Art Deco Movement reached it's height in the 1920s, '30s and '40s.The key features are bold designs, clear lines , vibrant colours and patterns. The style brings glamour, luxury and order with symmetrical designs in exuberant shapes.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I told you I'd been working on Christmas!!! The image as you can see is set in a typical Art Deco geometrical shape. I am sure you'll agree that is also says luxury and glamour. All Art Deco boxes are ticked with this image from Hunky Dory. I placed the image on a white scalloped pre scored card from my stash. The background is also from Hunky Dory and the image placed below those glamorous chandeliers I hope show some  symmetry....think I might be a wee bit out on that one if you look closely!!

I hope you will be inspired to join us. Pop over to Unstampabelles and see which creative soul has inspired the rest of the team. There's always a random prize draw too. But don't forget NO stamps please.....we are UNSTAMPabelles!!

Take Care and Stay Safe. Don't go out unless you really have to and stay a safe distance from others. Protecting yourself and our vital front line services.

Happy crafting!!

#32 CD Sunday Plus

Another week over and I, like many others, are still isolating. It's week 3 for me!! How is everyone doing? At least we can keep sane with our crafting.

This week at CD Sunday Plus Margaret is our host. We also have some sad news. Jane who has been a guest designer for a number of years has decided to retire from all her Designer commitments due to family reasons. We will miss her and seeing her fabulous creations. Sending you much love Jane and please keep in touch.

As usual at CD Sunday Plus the challenge is 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or download and tell us your source, to be in with chance of making the Host's Top Three.

Here is my inspiration fro you.

I decided to make a start on my Easter cards whilst in isolation. This the first of them. I used a lovely image of Daffodils from Crafts You Print. The artwork is from Sandie Burchell. It was actually an insert which I printed on to card then cut to size. So I still have the other half to play around with. I mounted on a green background from card I had in stock. I made a matching green matt for the greeting and created the 'Happy Easter' greeting using the CD Greeting Card Factory Deluxe.

I hope you have a great week crafting and STAY SAFE!! Don't go out unless you really have to and remember social distancing if you do.

Enjoy!

#31 CD Sunday Plus

Good morning everyone. Well we are halfway through  March and it's time for another challenge at CD Sunday Plus. I am hosting it this time so I am looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations. It's 'Anything Goes' as usual as long as long as you use something from a CD, USB or Digital Download when creating your project. Don't forget to tell us your source and then you'll be in with a chance of being in my Top Three.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I made this for a young man who will be 5 years old this month. He loves pirates so I thought this was perfect when I saw it at Crafts You Print.

I started with green card stock and folded it landscape orientation. The added a yellow matt. and the image . It seemed a bit bare at the side so I used the extra embellishments down the side on a yellow matt. I added further embellishments along the edge of the image.

I hope you can join us this time and also I hope you are all keeping well. At least we crafters won't be bored if we do have to self isolate because of this nasty virus. You got to look positive in these troubled times eh!

Have a great crafty week.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I created this for a young lady who was about to embark on a new life at University. I used the wooden letter 'E', her initial, and painted it in a creamy colour. I added three yellow, silk flowers, from my stash. Then added some darker yellow gems and finished off with some yellow nylon ribbon to create a hanger.
(Looking at it now I think it may be upside down DUH!. Hope she didn't notice!)

I hope, no pun intended, you will join us this month . Don't forget we are Unstampabelles so NO STAMPS please!

Have fun!!

#30 CD Sunday Plus

Unstampabelles #97

Good Afternoon everyone. I think it will be morning now in Tasmania so Good Day to you all.

It's the first challenge of the year at Unstampabelles.  This challenge is entitled 'Who Am I?' We would like you to create something positive. The Twist is to use bright colours and/or explain about about yourself and why you created this piece in your journalling.

As usual NO STAMPS please!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have created a bright, cheerful tag. I found the inspirational words in my stash of pics. I am not sure where they came from but I thought they were very apt for our challenge and summed up perfectly who I am!.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us and I look forward to visiting your blogs soon. Don't forget there's always a prize for the challenge winner.

Have a crafty week!!

CD Sunday Plus #28

Good Morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge at CD Sunday Plus and again it's 'Anything Goes'. Margaret is our host this time. It was my turn to host last time and we had some fabulous entries thus making my task of choosing Top Three a wee bit difficult. Thank you for all those amazing entries.

My inspiration for you this time.

This card is made for a dear friend who is very stylish and her favourite colour is.....yes you guessed it....Yellow!!

When I spotted this image in 'My Pictures' I couldn't resist printing it off to make her this card. I think the image may be from Crafts You Print but I'm not sure as I've had it for eons.  I printed the designer paper and sentiment from an Ooh La La CD 'Everyday Occasions'. The white matt was embossed and I finished off with some wide ribbon to create the 'chocolate box' bow and added the small flower from my stash.

(I know the corners are bending up a little but I have now adhered them more securely)

I hope you'll be tempted to join us this time and I look forward to visiting your crafty blogs soon.

If you leave a comment Thank You....all comments are read and appreciated.

Have a great week!
