God morning crafters it's time for another challenge at Ooh La La. This time Deborah has chosen a great theme 'Girlie'. So plenty of scope for your yummy embellishments to come out of the craft room to create some pretty deigns.
Last time we asked you to use 3 Embellishments on your creations and you certainly Wowed us!! Pop over to see if you're a winner!! (link in sidebar)
Here is my 'Girlie' inspiration for you.
I used the OOh La La CD ' Yesterday's Memories' for my card. I went to the quick cards section and printed off the layout. Then added it to the pink backing paper from the backgrounds section of the CD. The pink bow is hand tied and I added a cream paper rose to the centre. Finally I created a banner from the ribbon and added it to the bottom with three flower gems. Voila!!
I look forward to visiting your blogs to check out your 'Girlie' cards. There's a prize for the winner donated by .ooh-la-la-craft shop. You will also find all the CDs that have been used by the design team here too plus plenty of ideas from the gallery for your inspiration.
Have a fun week whatever you are doing!!

Final week at Unstampabelles
Phewww we are nearly at the end of the month again and the Unstampabells challenge this month is nearly at an end. We have had some wonderful entries so far. What a creative lot you are!!! I have been amazed!! The challenge is to make something other than a card and the optional twist is to link it to a tutorial.
This is my final inspiration for you.
The box was created with a new die I got to play with recently. I must admit I do alter many boxes....great passion of mine.....but I don't normally make them from 'scratch'. So this die was a first for me. It's different also in the fact it has a hinged lid.
I die cut it with pink card stock and then used some pretty papers to decorate it. Always the fun part right crafters!! It folded together very easily. I finally added some lace that I'd bought in France when we visited friends there last year. They had many Brochants or Antique and Craft markets so you can imagine I was in my element exploring and trying to seek out useful goodies!! I added a hand tied lace bow and a flat backed pearl to finish.
As usual there is a prize on offer for the winner. It's been donated by our lovely leader Susan.
It's a lovely Butterfly Stem die by Bellina.
For more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) Also check out and leave some love for my wonderful teamies. Their creations always amaze me!!
Have fun and I'll be visiting you soon.

'Hot Hot Hot!'
It certainly is 'Hot, Hot, Hot!' here in Cyprus and it's also the theme of our next challenge at CD Sunday. This is the hottest Summer I have known since arriving here over 15 years ago. The high humidity has been unbearable for those living near the coast. Thank goodness we live higher up in the hills where the humidity has been lower......not much mind you! We are dreading the electricity bill for the air conditioning!!
Last times challenge at CD Sunday was for you to show us those shaped cards and did you Wow! us.....you certainly did. I think Margaret is going to have fun choosing her top three. This time it's Jocelyn's turn to chose and the theme is appropriately 'Hot, Hot, Hot!' I immediately thought of the hot weather as we were are in the middle of a heat wave but some of my teamies had other ideas. I won't spoil the surprises they have in store for you......you'll be amazed at some of their creations. They are certainly Hot Hot Hot!!
Here is my inspiration for you.
The image is from Ton Melkos CD and Project book. I began with hammered cream card stock folded landscape orientation. Then printed off the background paper and image and added these. The tiny flip flops and sunglasses were in my stash.....not sure where they were from sorry. I decoupaged the brolly and sun beds. The Warm Wishes greeting is from another CD but I can't remember which one. One of my teamies will know I'm sure.
The card was put together very simply and the scene looked like many you see here with sunbeds abandoned as people go down to the sea to try to stay cool in this very hot weather!
I hoep you'll be inspired to join in and for more 'Hot, Hot, Hot!' creations please pop over to CD Sunday (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of the team have created. Prepare to be amazed!!
Have a fun week and take care in the sun or wrap up warm if it's still Winter where you are!!

' More Than One Fold' with the Dragonflies.
The new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is 'More than one fold' So we are looking for different shaped cards. Remember it is cards only at Crafting with Dragonflies.
This is my inspiration for you.
My fold is called a Dutch fold I think. I started with a piece of sunny yellow card from a Lidls card pack. Then cut it to a 9 x 9inch square.
I have used this fold before and you may have seen it earlier in the year when I made a Thank You card for a CD Sunday challenge. It makes a cute card but is quite small when completed.
I hope you'll be inspired to join us at Crafting with Dragonflies (link in side bar). Don't forget to check out the many great folds the rest of the team have created for your inspiration.
Thank you for visiting today, your lovely comments are always appreciated. Have a fun week and I look forward to visiting you soon.

- Score at 1 1/2 and 7 1/2 inches
- Turn 90 degrees score at 3 and 6 inches
- Cut away the four corners where the score lines have intersected....you will see you have squares in each corner.
- Fold the long central strip with a mountain and valley fold to cover central image.
- Then fold up the bottom and top down to close.

#211 'Add three embellishments'
Time for our next challenge at Ooh La La. Doesn't time fly!! This challenge is a very easy one 'Add Three Embellishments' and was chosen by Allison. The 'Ribbons and Bows challenge last time proved to be very popular so thank you for all your yummy creations. Pop over to Ooh La La to see if you're a winner (Link in sidebar)
Here is my inspiration for you this time.
Yes it's another Christmas card. I am really being good this year with my Christmas makes!! I started with some mottled card stock that I felt looked 'snowy' and used this as the background for my image. The image and all the embellishments are from Ooh La La's 'Shawn Jenkins Collection' which can be found in the web shop at ooh-la-la-creations My Three Embellishmenst are the buttons, ribbon strip and bauble but I could also have just used the three buttons at the top......the choice is yours
I think you'll agree this is a great challenge and you get to play with all your yummy embellishments. Just what crafters love doing!! I look forward to visiting you soon. Have a crafty week and lots of fun!!

'Anything but a card'
We are mid-way through the month, would you believe and it's time for more inspiration from the team at Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) This time Susan wanted us to make anything BUT a card so we've had fun stretching our creativity!! The twist is to add a tutorial or link to a tutorial. You don't have to use the twist to be in with a chance of winning a great prize BUT you must remember not to use stamps, digi or otherwise, in making your creation.
Here is my inspiration for you.
I've been trying my hand at book folding and saw this great tute on You Tube .youtube.com by Debbi Moore. It's a cute little hedgehog which I decided would be a lady hedgehog and added ribbon hairband and flowers and gems to pretty her up. The eyes and nose are purple gems.
Of course I didn't forget the 'back' and added a doiley and a gem brad to finish.

CD Sunday 'Let's Shape it up!'
Phewwww it's hot. We're still having heat wave here in Cyprus. My Grand daughters leave the island today. There'll be lots of tears from me when they do. They have been wonderful company and we've had lots of fun. I will miss them soooooo much!
I haven't done any crafting this week so I was pleased that I was up to date with my DT makes. This time at CD Sunday Margaret has chosen her first challenge for us and it's Let's Shape it up'. This is always a favourite of mine as I love making them and seeing all the different shapes that crafters always come up with. It was my turn last time with 'Fab and Feminine ' challenge. The entries were FABULOUS, although a bit sparse, I think a lot of people must still be on holiday. How I am going to choose my winner I do not know. I let you know in two weeks and I will be sending a wee parcel of crafty goodies to my winner.
Now on to my inspiration for you this time.
I decided to make another Christmas card. My stock of Christmas cards is slowly growing with the emphasis on SLOW! It will still be a rush when the big day arrives! I had this craker template in my stash and thought it would be perfect for the challenge. The CD I have used to pretty it up is from Ooh La La 'Shawn Jenkins Collection' There are two sections on the CD. One every day occasions and the other is Christmas. I printed the background on to card stock and cut out the cracker shape. This was folded landscape orientation as you can see. I then printed off the baubles from the embellishments section of the CD and fussy cut them, I placed the larger one centrally and the two smaller ones on the end sections of the cracker. I had some pearls on a wire string in my stash and I wrapped this around where the indentations are on the cracker. I also added small gems along the zig zag edges. The tiny sentiment 'Seasons Greetings' is a peel off placed on a scrap of the designer paper and anchored with two wooden snowflakes from my stash.
I hope I've inspired you to take part in Margaret's first challenge choice for CD Sunday. Don't forget to pop over to CD Sunday and be inspired further with some of the wonderful shapes the team have used. (link in side bar)
Finally PLEASE PLEASE remember to use something from a CD, however small, and give credit to the CD. If you don't, then you won't be in with the chance of a yummy prize sorry xx
Have a great week crafting and I hope to be vising you soon. Off now to try to cool down!!

'Something Humorous' with the Dragonflies.
Good Morning from a hot and sticky Cyprus!! It's time for another challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. We had lots of entries for our last challenge and Hilde is busy choosing her Top Three......they'll be posted next week. Thank you for all the great entries . I really enjoyed visiting your blogs.
This time it's CG's choice of theme and she would like 'Something Humorous'.....it's always good to open up a card that makes us smile.....a great feel good factor!
Here is my inspiration for you.
I always think of Gus when a fun male card is asked for. There are just so many humorous images and sentiments in this range. The background paper is from a CD as I messed up the original paper.....thank goodness I found something in my stash that matched perfectly. I added the peel off number 70 to the balloon and Voila!!
The sentiment says:
' You know you're getting older when you sit in your rocking chair but can't get it going'
Hope you can join in this challenge and make us smile. I look forward to visiting you to say Hi!!
Have a great crafty week!!

#210 'Ribbons and Bows'
Good Morning from a very very hot Cyprus!!
It's time for our new challenge at Ooh La La 'Ribbons and Bows' chosen by the lovely Julie. Last Avril asked you to add some texture to your creations. We had some fab entries and the results are in. So pop over to Ooh La La to see if you're a winner.( link in sidebar)

This is my inspiration for you.
I used the Ooh La La CD 'Carnival of Colour' to make this very pretty card. I start with basic white card stock and covered it with the designer paper from the CD. I punched out the scalloped circle in pink and a plain circle in the matching DP and then matted the two together. The image in the centre is also from the CD. It's decoupage to give it some height and texture. The tiny sentiment' Happy Birthday' is from the Ooh La La CD 'Yesterday's Memories'.
I die cut some daisy flowers from the DP and placed them on the delicate pink ribbons. Three deeper pink bows from my stash were added to the corners and the sentiment topper. Eh Voila!!
I hope you enjoy creating something for our challenge and don't forget there's a prize on offer too. More details on the challenge blog ( link in sidebar)
Have a great week whatever you're up too. I'm going to try to keep cool but I'm loosing the battle so far!!
