#11 'Anything Goes with a CD' at CD Sunday

Sorry I am late....again.... posting. The Bank Holiday weekend and youngest stepson flying up from Devon to visit together with an unexpected trip to A&E hasn't helped!!! So at last I have a spare minute to post.

I am hosting this times challenge at CD Sunday. As usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you have used a  CD somewhere when you make your card etc.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a piece of A4 white card stock folded in half. Then added a matt of background paper from a freebie pack in a magazine.....sorry not sure which one. Then I took a piece of A5 white catd and embossed it. I took another piece of background paper and folded it in a concertina fashion. I added this to the embossed card at the bottom and placed a strip of white embossed card at the top edge to cover the join. A strip of jewels were then added and a die cut flower for the centre . Two smaller die cut flowers were added to each corner with jewels added.
On the top half of the card I placed an image from a Katy Sue CD Fabulous Fashion and added a double mounted die cut greeting in two shades.

I hope you'll join us this time. Don't forget only one rule....use something from a CD however small and tell us which CD you've used. I look forward to visiting you soon. If you leave a comment ....thank you... They are always read and appreciated.

CD Sunday 'Anything Goes using a CD'

Good Morning Bloggers. I am a wee bit late with this posting....sorry. I have had a very busy for tthe last three weeks touring with a Theatre Group . We have been taking a performance of  'The Desert Queen' around North Yorkshire and the surrounding area. It is a play about the life of an awesome female Gertrude Bell. If you have't heard of her please make a Google search. You will be amazed as to what she achieved and has virtually been air brushed out of history!! I made an altered notebook as a keepsake .

I used a very apt CD 'Egyptian Adventures' by Joanne Sheen for the background and image. The stained glass window was a pic taken at  St Lawrences church in East Rounton Yorkshire where Gertrude Bell and her family lived. The picture depicts Mont Blanc in the background which Gertrude climbed and a her seated on a camel in the foreground.

I hope you will join us for this challenge. The only rule we have is that you use a CD in the making of your  card or anything else card related e.g altered books, gift tags, ATCs etc. and you tell us which CD you have used.

Have a great week and thank you if you visit and comment. All comments are read and greatly appreciated.

Unstampabelles

I hope everyone is enjoying the May Bank Holiday weekend and the weather is being kind to you. It's dry but very cold here in the North East of England.

Our new challenge this month at Unstampabelles is entitled 'To Have and To Hold'. The twist is to add a touch of Art Deco. There's a prize as usual of a craft Gift card.

When thinking Art Deco I always look out my trusty Debbie Moore CDs as she always has some lovely Art Deco images on them. The CD I used for my image was 'Victorian Weddings'

I began with a two pieces of white card stock and trimmed the edges with a Joanne Sheen die. I then adhered them together to make a 'tent shape'. I die cut a frame to go around the image.  The sentiments were also from the CD. I added blue gems to the top one. The blue rose , bottom corner, was also from the CD. I added a white ribbon bow and two heart pins in blue and white. I also added white flat backed pearls to the corners of the frame and at the edge of the lace cut top.

I hope you'll be inspired to join our challenges. The main rule is NO stamps please digi or otherwise.

I look forward to visiting your blogs. If you are visiting me and leave a comment, Thank You,. They are always read and appreciated.

Have Fun!
