It's a beautiful Spellbinders die donated by Susan.
This my inspiration for you.
I have created a peaceful scene of hot air balloons floating over the Med!! I used papers for the balloons from the Nit Wits paper pad, 'Bonnets and Bowties' LOTV, I got this as a freebie in a magazine.....can't remember which one. It came with a 'Happy Birthday' stamp which I haven't used yet. The 'balloon' was made with three balloon shapes stuck together, back to back, and then 'fanned' out to give a 3D effect. The template was given to me by my crafting partner. I think she got it in a magazine and that's where the idea had originated from. I used corrugated card for the 'basket' and straight line peel offs for the 'ropes'. Not sure where the scene came from. I found it when browsing through my many images on the PC. The white bird/dove is a diecut that one of my crafters gave me. I add the words Peace and Harmony which found when I googled the words. I found some lovely images and inspirational quotes when Googling . So if you're stuck for further inspiration that's another source you could use.
So only one week left to get your creative juices flowing for this challenge. Grab a cuppa and pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) for more inspiration from my teamies. You won't be disappointed!!
Have a peaceful week crafters.
What a stunning card! Really like those 3D balloons. Best, CG
ReplyDeleteMy card was so much like yours only yours was better so I scrapped it - it was only half done anyway, and my balloons looked a little wonky! Yours are fabulous! I was going to make something else and I did but I was so excited about the bubblewrap tip that I published it early! Great card - thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove your card Wynn, hot air balloons are brilliant for the Peace & Harmony theme! Have you ever had a ride in one? If you ever get the chance do it, it's totally amazing!

Thank you Dawn. No not ridden in one. I used to watch them from the house we lived in a few years ago. We were very high up and the balloons would float past the house through the valley.....magical to watch. I don't think they have them now in Paphos.
