Good Morning to you all from sunny Cyprus and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums in blog land. What a shame we lost an hour of sleep. Did you remember to put your clocks on one hour? We did but I much prefer it when we gain the hour in October.
Over at CD Sunday we've been challenged by Jenny to use a sketch as a layout for this week's card. Still using a CD of course as this is CD Sunday Challenge Blog after all.
I decided to use it as the layout for my MIL's birthday card. Apologies for the quality of the piccie. I've just realised its not too good and I can't take another as it's in the post now!
I got some lovely Hunky Dorey toppers with a card magazine in February and couldn't wait to use them. I have also used some pretty floral rub ons for the outer panels. The background paper was from Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Collection CD and has a lovely lace border. I added lace ribbon and a happy birthday sentiment strip, from my stash, across the centre. To finish I added a Mum peel off to the centre bird panel. I hope she likes it and has a lovely Mother's Day too!!
So, that's the CD Sunday challenge this week...........an easy peasy sketch. Thank you Jenny.
Why don't you grab your morning cuppa and pop over to enjoy browsing through the rest of the designs from Team A. Have fun!!

Happy Hopping!!
Thought I'd show you this card I made over the weekend . I was rummaging through my pergamano patterns for a friend who is thinking about starting out with Pergamano. Now I used to do Pergamano eons ago but gave up. However I've still got all the tools cos being a true crafter I never throw anything out. Well you never know .....
Anyway I saw this pattern and thought about our Baby Blog Hop and decided to have a go again. It's also an early start for Christmas too....so killed two birds with one stone so to speak
Hope you find time to make a baby Card. It could even be an image of the Baby Jesus . So an early Christmas card never comes in wrong. What do you think? Cute eh!!

Baby blog hop with the Dragonflies
Good Morning and Welcome
WE are having a BLOG HOP as well as a Challenge this fortnight!
This year our theme is - BABIES!
We have some wonderful sponsors who have generously donated lots of goodies for you and our wonderful Hilde also has a freebie to give to you to use for the challenge if you want to - go to the main blog for this.
Our Sponsors for this Blog Hop are listed below but the twist is that they are associated with each individual member of the Design Team's blogs, so you need to go to their blog and follow the instructions to be in a chance to win. There is a prize for the Challenge winner as well and our normal TOP THREE awards. You do not have to go in the BLOG HOP as well as the Challenge, but what else have you to do with your time? Of course you will enter both!! However, you do have to be a member of this blog to be eligible for the Challenge and Blog Hop prizes.
OUR WONDERFUL SPONSORS
Sponsors: Digistamps4Joy Prize:
$10 to spend in the store - on Tania's blog
Sami Stamps Prize:
$12 to spend in the store - Judith has this one
Flourish with a Bling Prize:
Handmade Harbour prize:
six digis for the winner - hiding away on CG's blog
Pickled Potpourri prize:
Meljens prize: four digis for the winner
Wynn and Sammy will be donating a small gift as their blog prize.
The way you can hop is by thinking of numbers! Go to each Design Team's blog, read the clues and THINK OF NUMBERS while you do this! Remember - our theme is BABIES, so what do Babies have related to NUMBERS?
There may be a small amount of poetry in there........but I am sure you will be able to work that all out! You collect a word or maybe a whole phrase from each blog along the hop and you need to make sure that
- You leave a comment on a blog to be eligible for that blog's prize and enter the main challenge
- You DON'T mention the word/phrase in your comment on that blog!
Leave a comment on the main blog as well as entering your own Baby themed project into the Challenge on the Crafting with Dragonflies . Also follow the instructions on the main blog to finish off the hop from there.
Happy Hopping Folks
Order of the HOP
''BABIES "
Yes we are blog hopping over at Crafting with Dragonflies and the theme is babies. Now, as those who know me will verify, this means lots of oohs and ahhs from me cos I just LOVE babies. Hilde challenged us to dig out our favourite baby photo but then all them are my favourites. I just couldn't choose, without upsetting one of my 'babies'. I have two you see, as I have twins, and I couldn't do that could I?
So I decided to go with a photograph of a very special baby who came into all our lives last year.
"A Special Baby Boy''
(now who could that be?)
Yes you may have guessed it. It's Prince George of Cambridge. He was born on the 22nd July 2013 at 4.24pm and weighed in at 8lbs 6oz. He is third in line to the British throne and is named as George Alexander Louis. He has the two most gorgeous smiling eyes you could ever wish for.
Yes two beautiful eyes indeed but look at that sweet little mouth too.....gorgeous!!! I could eat him!! He'll bring a lot of joy to two delightful people, his proud parents Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and his Great Granny and Grandpa too I'm sure.
Now on to the challenge. I decided to make a mini flip flap album which could be used to add those precious baby photos. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube, if you do a search. So I won't bore you with all the details of how I went about making it as I've done enough waffling about my love of babies.
The image on the front of the album was from one of our sponsors Meljen. They have some great digis over there so please find time to pop over and visit, you won't be disappointed!

I hope you have fun visiting my teamies. Don't forget to leave a comment to be in with chance of winning a small gift which is ready to wing it's way to you from Cyprus.
The next teamie to visit is sammy. If you get lost just click on the crafting-with-dragonflies. link to take you back to the challenge page where you'll need to upload your challenge card too. Don't forget you must be a follower to be in with chance of winning those fab prizes.
Have fun. Happy Blog hopping!!

So grab a coffee a pop in to visit these fab digi stamp
sponsors......I promise you won't be disappointed.
I must say I had great fun creating my card for this challenge.
The digi is from the East Wind and I coloured it with fine line pens. I sat her against a shaped tag that I had in my stash. The white spotted paper on a pink background reflected the design on the wellies in the inspiration photo. I punched out lots of daisies to add to the background. I used an embossing ball tool to shape them and spritzed them and allowed them to dry, thus hardening them before I added the yellow centre, again using fine line pens. I scattered them randomly across the background and placed one in this cuties hair.
Great fun!!
Please find a moment to take a peep at the other creations my teamies have come up with at pinspirational.
I hope you have as being fun as I did!!

Mothers Day with Sue
Good Sunday Morning to you all. No I haven't gone mad, I know it's not Mother's Day yet, but you've got to be prepared. So Sue has challenged us to make a card for Mother's, Mums or Mummies. As I have to make a birthday card too for my Mum in law, which always falls very near to Mothering Sunday, I needed to get a move on.
This is what I've made for Mother's Day I'll show you the birthday card later .......so watch this space.
I use the CD Craft Artist Professional using their Mothers Day download. This is the first time I've used this CD to create a card. I've been messing around with it for a while but always got in a bit of a muddle . There are so many different features on it. I must admit you do get good results but I don't think I can be bothered with all the phaffing around!!
Anyway I printed off the layout, landscape orientation and placed it onto white card stock. I added 3 pink flower shaped buttons, bottom lefthand side, to extend from the button images on the layout. Then I thought it need a bit of bling so I put two pink sequin flowers amongst the flower images on the layout.
Now I know quite a few of you will need to make a Mother's Day card but it could be a birthday card or a card for a Mum to be or for someone who has been a surrogate Mother to you. The ideas are there lurking away in your mind I'm sure. But if you're still thinking about it go over to cdsundaychallenge and see what the rest of the team have created. Don't forget you must use a CD to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Geometric Shapes
Another day another card!! This time it's time to visit unstampabelles for their latest challenge.....Geometric Shapes. Now I have lots of those fab epoxy stickers in my stash and they are so pretty that I have been reluctant to use them. But when I saw this challenge I knew the very thing I would use to create a layout on my card. Now the photo is not too good as my scanner was dirty and no amount of rubbing would get the marks off grrrr. Here it is!!
I began with white card stock, folding A4 card in half then turned it around to landscape orientation. I decided to go with co-ordinating yellows plus the shapes. I turned the pretty floral epoxy squares around to make diamond shapes, placing them in a W shape. This left gaps of triangle shapes which I filled with triangular corner peel offs. Along the bottom I used a ribbon punch and threaded the yellow ribbon in a zig zag shape. I then made two squares of yellow and gold twisted them to match the epoxy diamonds and added 60 and happy birthday peel offs. You can also see other shapes e.g stars, petal, butterfly and tiny circles.
The epoxy stickers are from E-Z Stick-On.
I enjoyed this challenge. Something a bit different from my normal card.

Shaped Cards with the Dragonflies
Good day to my fellow crafters. We had some lovely cards for our challenge last time. I think Hilde will have a hard time choosing her fave. Now it's time for another challenge from Hilde at Crafting with Dragonflies. This week she has challenged us to make a shaped card of our choice.
Our sponsors are :
all dressed up stamps
Prize: 2 digis
Milk Coffee Digis
Prize: 5 digis
I was lucky enough to receive a digi from 'All Dressed Up' to play with. I chose 'My Valentine Forever' and for my shaped card I went with the Sizzix die cut again but this time without the embossed edges. I used bright red card from my stash for the main card.
I coloured the image with my bright Fineliner Pens. I added a flat backed red pearl to one of the flowers and fine peel offs from my stash to the edge and to embellish it. I put Gold Perfect Pearls, from Ranger, on the heart and tiny stars were scattered across the background. I found some bright red ribbon in my Christmas box and made a bow to add to the top with a red square gem. Finally a red heart gem was added.
I enjoyed playing with this digi. There are plenty more in the Etsy shops of our sponsors so why not take a peek . You won't be disappointed.
Now it's your turn. Pour yourself a coffee and take it with you to Crafting with Dragonflies to see what other shaped cards the Design Team have created. You'll be inspired and I'm sure you'll want to join in. Don't forget to relax and have fun you deserve it!!

Photo inspiration at Pin...
Good morning from Cyprus I hope the weather is being kind to everyone and the UK is beginning to dry out. I hope my Australian friends are taking care in the sun.
We had a terrific thunderstorm during the night. With large hailstones that I thought would come through the roof. Everywhere is in a real mess this morning!!
Now on to this week's inspirational challenge at (pin)spirational. This is the piccie chosen for us to work with.
Plenty there to inspire don't you think. Our sponsors are :
prize 7 digis
prize 5 digis
prize 3 digis
I was lucky enough to be offered a digi from Anne's Digital Art. The choice was amazing and hard to choose. I finally went with Ayla in new pinafore......thought it would keep that pretty dress in the piccie stay clean!!
I chose green as the main colour for the card to match the green grass in the photo. I used a Sizzix die to cut and emboss the shape. The background was stamped with black Stazon with a freebie stamp I got with a magazine. Yes we are now lucky and get the freebies with our magazines over here. It's been a long time coming but they are much appreciated as crafty goodies are a wee bit thin on the ground here.
I paper pieced the pinafore with freebie paper from the same magazine.....January's Card Making and Papercraft. Coloured the dress and shoes with Fineliner pens and the skin and hair with Spectrum Noir pens. The flower was from a K and Co pack sent from a friend in the UK....she knows who she is!! The 'For You' sentiment stamp was from a crafter in my group, thank you Leslie, and was inked in black Stazon. I added flower candy from my stash to finish. Finally I added some Spectrum Noir pen to the teddy, which was from a Debbi Moore Shabby Chic CD.
A cute card I think you'll agree. Not sure who to send it to yet so I'll put in my box for a later date.
Now it's your turn...... pop over to http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ and take a peek at what the rest of the Design Team have created. Don't forget to check our sponsors out and have fun!!

Easter Parade
Good Sunday morning peeps......no you didn't misread the post!! It's Easter over at cdsunday challenge and the theme was chosen by me ....Wynn.
Well like Christmas I like to start early with my Easter cards.....well not too early!! So that's why I chose this theme. Hope you're inspired by the rest of the Team A's creations.
I chose an image from one of my favourite CD's Pyramid Krazy.....an oldie but a goody.....I can always find something on there to fit most themes.
I decided to use a circular pyramid for a change. There's a variety of designs to choose from on this CD. I loved the parade of the family of chicks in their Easter finery. What a great hat....I want one!!
I mounted it on white card stock placed at an angle. I inked the edges of the card with the edge of the ink pad to make tiny lines, which I hoped would look like straw. I added some matching bright ribbon to the top corners and rounded the bottom two with a corner punch.. The sentiment was from my stash and edged to match the main body of card.
I hope you find a moment to pop over to CD Sunday to see what the rest of my teamies created for my choice of theme. You won't be disappointed. There'll be a small gift for the winner ......winging it's way from Cyprus. Have fun!
I'm also going to send this card to send a smile 4kids.....Easter....link below A really worthwhile organisation. So another reason for making those Easter cards for children.
