Good morning fellow bloggers and crafty friends. Well Crafting with Dragonflies is starting the New Year off with an easy challenge for you 'Anything Goes' with a card.
I chose to make a DL CAS card as it seems a while since I used this style.
The base card is pink hammered card from Craft Tonic. The pretty fan toppers have been in my stash for eons so not sure who sent them to me. I placed some pink and turquoise feathers behind each one.....again I've had these for a while.....not something I've used on a card lately. I added a simple peel off greeting and small flowers in two corners. I felt that by keeping it simple the 'fans' became the 'stars'.....they are so pretty!
If you have a moment please pop over to crafting-with-dragonflies and see what the rest of the team have created to inspire you. You won't be disappointed.

Isn't this adorable.....love it.
The sponsors this week are:
prize is 3 digis
prize is $10 worth of digis
How generous is that.....two great prizes. So get over to pinspirational and enter.....you got to be in it to win it!!
This is the card that I have designed for (pin)spirational this week.
I went with a design in the shape of a house and the colour blue. I also added two cute owls on the roof to go with the theme of birds....not penguins I know but they are birds too!!
This was a new home card made for a friend who just adores owls......she knows who she is. Hope she doesn't mind me showing the card I sent to her and her hubby when she moved house. They were so lucky to find such a beautiful bungalow in perfect surroundings for their beautiful birds of prey. A new beginning for them and lots of new space for their pets.
The kit to make up the card came from CUP but I can't remember it's number or the designer. I forgot to take a note of it at the time of printing it out. Sorry ....smacked hands. If anyone recognises it please let me know so I can give credit to the designer.
Don't forget to pop over to (pin)sprational challenges and see what the my other teamies have come up with. You won't be disappointed and don't forget to have fun crafting!!

Here Kitty Kitty!!
Good Morning to you from Cyprus.
Over at CD Sunday Sue has set us a great challenge "Here Kitty Kitty". There are some fab CD's out there with our furry friends on so I'm sure you'll have no problem joining in the challenge.
I went for a lovely Christmas CD by digicrafts 'Christmas Furry Friends", the artwork is by Debbie Cook.
This 'ever watchful' Kitty is decoupaged using 3 layers. I've added a cheerful red satin ribbon/bow down the side to complement that lovely red breast of the robin. Robins are always welcome visitors at Christmas time don't you think. And I'm sure our Kitty will agree.
If you have a minute please pop over to CD Sunday and see what the rest of the team have come up with......some fab designs!!
Challenges: robynsfetishchallengeblog.....Winter #195
trimmiescraftchallenge.....Technique Decoupage

Goodmorning fellow crafters and welcome back to (pin)spiration challenges and a new year.

Hot Cocoa .....just what you need on a cold Winters day. Well maybe it's not cold in your part of the world but it is here in Cyprus.......well cold compared to Summer that is.
So "Cheers" here's to a happy and healthy 2014.
The sponsors are:

prize $12 GC
Wow haven't the sponsors been sooooooo generous. Thank you!!
For my card I chose a digi from Sami Stamps. 'Hot Cocoa with Friends'. I used white card from my card stock as the main card and the backing paper is a cold blue also from my stock.
I coloured the digi with Spectrum Noir skin tones for the skin and the hats. The brighter colours for the mugs were coloured with Sharpies. Silver mirri card was used for the frame and is one a friend made for me, as were the flourishes....not sure which die they are, sorry, but if anyone recognises it please let me know so I can give the maker credit.
The sentiment is also from Sami Stamps 'A little cup of cocoa I'm sending your way with hopes of warming your heart this day' Isn't that lovely. I printed it on white and mounted it on silver mirri card to match, adding 3D pads to raise it up a little.
Please try and visit our generous sponsors and pop over to pinspirationalchallenges to see what other warming creations have been made by my teamies. You won't be disappointed.

Pretty in Pink
Wishing all my followers and crafty friends a very happy and healthy 2014.
Let's hope it's a good one!!!
So a New Year and a new start.
My first good news for 2014 is that I have been invited to join the Design Team at CD Sunday. I have been a guest designer for CD Sunday once or twice this year so when I was asked to join this team of really friendly crafters I just couldn't resist. I am truly honoured and excited.
For the challenges at CD Sunday you must use a CD to qualify for some fab prizes. So something a bit more challenging and an opportunity to dust off all those CD's.
Christine has chosen the theme for team A this week "Pretty in. Pink "
I am showing you one of the last Christmas cards I made before going into hospital. It was made at my Craft Group. The design came from a Making Cards magazine....not sure who the designer was. If anyone knows please advise me and I'll give them credit. I havenot tried this technique before. It was a tricky card to make but very effective.
The design of the tree was traced on to card then alternate strips were cut. When completed it was eased across and a snowflake brad was attached down the side as a stopper....like an easel card standing up!!
The CD I used was ' A Walk in the Countryside' by Cupcake Crafting. I used two matching background papers and the plain pink one has a lovely lace effect edging. I added pink and green sequins down the side to match the front background paper. Silvery peel offs were added to the branches and the Happy Christmas sentiment from my stash, was added. Some of my crafters added gems to their branches. This card really twinkles when the light catches.
At my craft group everyone is given the same design/task/technique, but they stamp their own creativity on it thus each one is always so different. It's a joy to see at the end of each session.
Try to pop over to CD Sunday Challenge to see the cards the rest of my teamies have created, you won't be disappointed. I hope you'll be inspired to join in the challenge. Don't forget to dust off those CD's and have fun!!
