''She's in Fashion'' Ooh La La

Good Monday Morning to all my crafty followers. I hope you are well and the weather is being kind to you. Spring is on the way here with the almond blossom in full bloom.....beautiful. We have an almond grove nearby and it's breathtaking to see when in full bloom.

This fortnight at Ooh La La we are looking for ladies in fashion on your creations. The theme was chosen by Lynn who loves her fashion. Last time's choice was Julie's and she was asking you to create something with lots of folds. There were some wonderful entries and I know she's had a difficult task choosing her top three. It may be yours, so pop over to Ooh La La challenges and check it out (link in sidebar).

For my card I used a CD from Ooh La La called 'Yesterday's Memories'. This CD of fashion in days gone by shows what an elegant time this was. I had problems choosing just one image as there were so many fab ones.

My starting point was an Art Deco template that I found in my stash and I thought that this style just cried out Art Deco so that's what I went with. After printing off the image I mounted it on black card stock. The Art Deco shape was covered with matching background paper from the CD. I picked out the lines with gold peel offs and added the fancy corners and then added the topper. The whole thing was then mounted on black A4 card folded to create an A5 card.

I also added gold matching corners to the main card and finished the Art Deco image off with black flatbacked pearls. I think you'll agree it looks very stylish and I'm wishing I'd lived through this age of fashion.

You can find all Ooh La La CDs on their website ooh-la-la-creations. There are some free taster images on there too. So if you don't have any of there wonderful CD's off you go to take a peep. You won't be disappointed!!

I am looking forward to visiting you all and seeing which fashion era you portray.
