#175 'Lots of Folds' with Julie

It's time for another challenge at Ooh La La and this time Julie would like you to create a card using lots of folds. Our last challenge was to 'Add Something Green' #174 and Avril's been busy trying to decide her top three. To see if you're a winner pop over to Ooh La La (link in side bar) and check out the blog.

I love trying out different folds so this challenge was 'right up my street'!! I used a fold I'd found earlier last year on You Tube and it's a Pyramid card . This is the link to the tutorial www.youtube.com/watch

I found some lovely Springtime images on OLL Everyday Occassions CD and used these to create my card.

                                                                                side 1

The base card was from my stash and after making the pyramid I just added the background paper and played around with some of the images on the CD. I added a metal green flower brad to the bottom left on side 1.

                                                                                side 2

On side 2 the extra embellishments are 3 ceramic green flowers.

side 3

Finally on side3 I added 3 blue buttons, one on each point.
The card folds flat for posting so no problems there.

I hope you have as much fun as I did creating your card with Lots of Folds. For more inspiration from my teamies pop over to OLL and see if there's a fold you haven't tried yet.

Happy Crafting x

  3. Hi Wynn, Thanks for your recent comment, good to hear from you. Popped over to see what you're up to, and enjoyed this wonderful fold on the beautiful card. Since I'm 'fold challenged' I'm always impressed by the different fold techniques, and this is one I don't think I've seen before. How interesting is this shape, and I'm loving the lovely imagery you have on each facet of every fold. This is so very detailed, with so much going on. Someone is going to be very happy to receive this super special card. Take care, TFS & Have a great weekend. PS..thanks for including the link too!
