Midway at 'Unstampabelles'

We have started off our 2018 challenges with the ever popular 'Anything Goes' and we are midway through the month of February already!!

The TWIST this time is to use something new from your stash  that you got over the Christmas break
which you can have purchased yourself or been given it. Don't forget this is UNstampabelles so NO STAMPS please.

Here is my midway inspiration for you.

The card was made with white card stock embossed with a large A2 dotty folder. The central image was from a new CD 'Bebunni Love Collection' by Crafters Companion. The LOVE strip across the bottom was from a new paper pad from Lidls. I used a border die cut to edge the image and added two die cut hearts to the top corners. To finish I scattered tiny die cuts across the image.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us this month. As usual there is a lovely prize on offer donated by Susan.

This time it's a very useful leaf spray die.

Have a great week and I look forward to visiting your blog soon.

'Up, Up and Away! '

Good Morning everyone. Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Our latest challenge 'Up, Up and Away! ' has been chosen by our leader Carol.  The challenge last time, chosen by Jocelyn was, ' Vintage Love ', so it was a great opportunity for you to create some Vintage Valentines. We had some interesting designs too. Thank you to those who took part. Don't forget if you don't have a blog you can still enter via our face book page. The winner of ' Vintage Love' will be up on the blog next week. As we've decided not to make you wait so long to see who's won. Just a reminder too that there's always a lovely prize on offer for the winner, donated by the design team .
Enough of my waffle and on to my inspiration for you this time.

The CD I've used for the background is one of  Debbie Moore's , ' Elegant Moments '. It from the insert section and I felt it would make the perfect background for my hot air balloon. I loved the fact it had sailing boats on it too to add extra interest to the scene. The balloon is a die cut using multi-coloured card. The sentiment was 'googled'. So a simple CAS card from me this time. It makes a change from my love of different folds!!

As always the rules of the challenge are simple....use a CD somewhere on your creation and tell us which one you've used.....You can make anything you wish, so it doesn't have to be a card, it could be ATCs, altered books, scrapbook page etc. etc. Anything really as long as you've used a CD somewhere on your project. For more inspiration pop over to CD Sunday (link in sidebar) to see what the rest of the team have created.

Thank you for visiting and if you've left a comment double thanks as they are always appreciated.

Have a good week and I look forward to visiting you soon.

'Special Folds'

Good morning crafters. Our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is my all time favourite 'Special Folds'. Those who follow my blog know that I love a challenge of a new fold. So this theme is perfect for me!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

It's a step card with a difference. As you can see I have made it into a baby's 'room' with chest of drawers and wardrobe. The idea came from one of my craft group, Christine. She always has some clever ideas. When she showed us this creation I thought it would be perfect for this theme.

I made the basic step card from white card stock and added panels of blue checked card on to the wardrobe doors and drawers. The central panel was covered in the same designer paper. The bottom edge of the main step card was cut with a die to give the shape of the 'feet'

Then came the fun part of adding the embellishments. The 'Baby' element is from an Ooh La La CD, 'Everyday Occasions'. The birth weight chart is from Kay and Co.

The little wooden 'baby' was bought locally and the bootees were knitted by an online crafter and given to me as a RAK, thank you Angie. 'Congratulations' is a die cut as is the baby vest.

I hope you have as much fun as I did trying out 'Special Folds' for this challenge. I am excited to see what folds you use to create your cards. Remember this is a fun challenge for cards only.
Have a great week crafting!!

#76: Anything Goes (no stamps)TWIST use anything newly acquired

Wow!! We're back.....have you missed us? We've had a lovely long break at Unstampabelles but we are now raring to go to bring you more 'challenging' challenges!!

We starting off gently though so don't panic. It's Anything Goes!! The twist is to use some of your new stash that you may have received in your stocking at Christmas!!.....but NO stamps please.

This is my inspiration for you.

The card was created using one sheet of A4 card stock folded equally into four panels. I used a die from a set of fancy frames borrowed from a fellow crafter....so new to me. The die was placed on the edge using only half of it to cut the legs of the panel. The fancy top was created using a new die punch that I got from Lidls just before Christmas. The blue designer paper was in my stash and the added flourishes were die cuts from another borrowed die....so again new to me. The sentiment 'Best Wishes' was a new die that I got as a prize from Hunky Dory. So lots of NEW things used in my creation.

I hope you've been inspired to join us. For more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of the design team have been up to.

As always there's a great prize on offer kindly donated by our lovely leader Susan. This month it's a really useful leaf spray die.

Don't forget this challenge is to create anything as long as you don't use stamps!! Go on.... you can do it!!

Have fun!!

'Vintage Love'

We are thinking of Love at CD Sunday and why not it is February and the month of Love after all!!

Before I get to the challenge inspiration I just need to tell you that the Top Three are up on the blog (link in sidebar) for my 'J is for....' challenge which started our year off at CD Sunday. Also thank you for the few 'brave' people who entered ' Winter in the Mountains' Margaret's challenge last time. Why did we have so few entries? It was a lovely theme and perfect for you to start next year's Christmas cards early.

Now on to the new challenge from Jocelyn. This time Jocelyn asked us think of 'Vintage Love'. I think my thoughts went outside the box for this one and I thought of 'Vintage Mother Love'!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with white card stock and covered it with designer paper from a Debbie Moore CD 'Vintage Weddings'. The image is googled and I mounted it with brown card stock. The verse/sentiment was printed using the CD 'Greeting Card Factory'. This was also mounted on brown card stock.

I hope I've inspired you but if you still need more please pop over to CD Sunday to see what the rest of the team have created. Don't forget if you don't have a blog you always enter via our new facebook page.

Have fun and remember there's always a yummy prize on offer donated by the design team.

'Valentine/Romantic'

Hello February!!! It's the month of Love and for us crafters it means Valentine cards!!

Over at Crafting with Dragonflies our new challenge theme is of course 'Valentine/Romantic ' cards only. We had some fabulous entries for 'Anything Goes' and Hilde we have a difficult task choosing her winners. Here is my inspiration for you this time.

I started with A4 card stock and embossed it with my large A4 dotty folder. The Love heart is diecut from a die I got from Joanne Sheen online shop. I added white ribbon down the side and added the heart on top. The sentiment 'Happy Valentines Day' is computer generated. I mounted it with red mirri card.

Don't forget this challenge is cards only and is a fun challenge!!

For more inspiration for your loved ones cards pop over to Crafting with Dragonflies (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of the team have created. You won't be disappointed.

I hope you're having a great weekend and enjoy whatever you have planned!!
